INTRODUCTION

The objective of this document is to carry out the study, analysis and review of

certain degree works, which present a qualitative and quantitative approach where it seeks

to generate spaces for the construction of knowledge, based on elements of judgment and

value, to achieve know the focus of the research, the tools used to obtain said information

and the population that will benefit, which will allow contextualizing the main objective

and the specific objectives of each project, providing a vision of the authors within the

conceptual methodology and the criteria that must be taken into account when formulating

the research questions. In this order of ideas, the first part addresses the review and analysis

of a qualitative approach project and the second makes a description within the narrative of

quantitative research.

b) Summary - problem statement

This project presents the development of an application that seeks to provide a solution and

response to a basic learning need for children with dyslexia problems in Fusagasugá –

Cundinamarca, in order to achieve a more practical method, with which to achieve develop

all their learning capabilities in a more advanced way using this type of technology.

For the design, creation and implementation of this software project, Colombian legislation

is taken into account; the basic learning rights for students with special needs and an

argument that correctly justifies the objectives, taking into account that there is a real need

in our academic environment and the little importance of the national government in terms

of the implementation of educational software , it is concluded and determined that the use,

design and creation of the same is necessary for children with special and extrasensory

needs. It should be noted that only a few institutions with their own resources have

managed to design strategies to strengthen the educational processes of students who have
some type of limitation, but need to implement it in many areas of the country that have this

type of needs and do not have the necessary resources to install them on their own, under

these parameters it is taken into account to extend said solution at the national level to any

student entity that may require it.

C) Explanation of the problem formulation

From the point of reflection as a student and the knowledge acquired throughout my academic

life, my opinion in an objective manner and consistent with my professional training, I

perceive that the formulation of the problem posed here is argued and defined in a correct,

clear and precise manner. , the author in context(Calderon Portela & Lopez Ochoa , 2021)

demonstrates a need, presents a proposed solution and the possible scope that is intended to be

achieved with the design of this project. The research methodology developed seeks to identify

the needs of the population suffering from dyslexia, how can their quality of life be improved a

little? and that technology can provide through software to improve your teaching-learning

process.

The formulation of the problem is based on the premise that education in Colombia is based on

the management and development of skills, and being competent implies accompanying young

people with special needs in their different academic training processes, since this type of

students are surrounded in most circumstances by condition students without apparent

pathologies. The creation of this software will also make it easier for teachers to improve their

teaching dynamics, establish other teaching strategies, etc.

The author also looks back not only on software research but also on dyslexia, history,

treatments and how this type of population can be helped.

Summary – of the problem statement.

The work aims to make known the problem of dyslexia in second grade children, focusing

on the effects it has on the student's performance by carrying out a sampling in an

educational facility that allows quantitatively establishing the difficulties presented by

students, families and teachers. by not being able to identify the population that requires
timely support to face the problem of dyslexia. In addition, it formulates in a general way

the environment and how it can affect it and allows classifying a range of possibilities that

can help detect specific cases and focus correctly and accurately, through knowledge of

behavior, a way of facing the situation. through a statistical analysis to determine which

population has this affectation to create appropriate strategies.

a) Explanation of the problem formulation

It seeks to determine the cause of learning problems in children, in order to detect the

problem that can influence adult life, generating problems in their intellectual and social

development, causing insecurity in relating to others, in accordance with this approach. The

student's behavior and skills are explored in depth through observation and a series of

questions are posed to statistically define what percentage of the population has problems

with performance and intellectual abilities and what skills are most frequently affected. The

surveys help us to have a starting point and to be able to carry out a qualitative analysis, but

in this case they are not conclusive since the limited population and its socioeconomic and

cultural level are not being evaluated, which does not allow us to define other problems

apart from the physical.

Lack of attention is also related to nutrition and the social and family environment, which at

a young age is fundamental and provides security in childhood and higher learning, and this

is an important condition for selecting the study population, hence we can starting from and

having reliable data according to their position in society and access to better education, the

approach only allows analyzing some behaviors that may be common in children and are

not decisive for the development of effective quantitative research.

b) Analysis Technique Used

Grade 1 project: Development of educational software to strengthen skills in children with

dyslexia between 5 and 7 years old.

The development and research approach for the first degree work presented here in this

section is described within the qualitative approach because it is framed in the naturalistic

scientific paradigm as pointed out by the author Barrantes (2014) “It focuses on the study

of meanings of human actions and social life” (p.82) According to this, qualitative research

for software development is presented under the analysis of 4 perspectives that, as student

researchers, allow us to identify where there is interest in development and creation of

software, in this case in Fusagasugá with students who have a special need within their

cognitive and literacy development, historical, etymological, project and organizational

perspectives. The respective collection of information in real time is evident, and thereby

enriching the research, the author above describes several instruments used such as

interviews and surveys applied to experts in search of obtaining information on how to

build resources through ICT means with in order to strengthen reading and writing skills in

children with dyslexia between 5 and 7 years old. This software is aimed at a specific

population. Its implementation will also be evaluated by pedagogy experts. Within the

description of this project, other instruments used to complement the process of creating
educational software, the author will also use dynamic methodologies.(M, 2009) the

ADDIE methodology (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation) and

the agile XP software development methodology, which consists of following a series of

steps, or following the phases established for the appropriate development of software with

limited structures in the time. As it had already been reported that the collection of

information will be carried out through surveys and interviews in order to obtain

information by entering into the context, it is worth clarifying that through an instrument

(surveys) designed to collect information, this instrument is made up of a set of open

questions, with which the aim is to expand a series of basic framework ideas for the

research, in the same way interpersonal communication is carried out between experts and

researchers, to obtain concrete answers.

Grade 2 work: Dyslexia and its impact on the learning of boys and girls in the second grade

of elementary general education at the “Emanuel Christian High School”, in the Ambato

canton, province of Tungurahua.”

The research approach of this second degree work analyzed corresponds to the Quantitative

method, since the author resorted to carrying out surveys and questionnaires that allowed

him to know and promptly diagnose the problems associated with dyslexia and in this way

to be able to attack the issue of a methodical way that allows you to carry out a step by step

process and that can identify the degree of the problem and thus be able to face the

problems caused by physical, mental or social and behavioral disorders.

Now, since the problem is so well stated, it is practically solved, therefore it is possible to

correspond more accurately and obtain a more satisfactory solution. As researchers we

must perceive not only arriving at the problem, but also writing it in a clear and concise,

precise way. and accessible, it is generally known what is desired as a result, but

communicating it to others is a little more complex, which is why it is necessary to make a

greater effort to communicate it in a simple way.
