relationship between the students’ level of awareness and level of committing crimes. The data
that will be collected will be treated using frequency and percentage for the socio-demographic
profile of the respondents. Weighted mean will utilize to determine the level of awareness and
committing crimes of criminology students. A four point Likert will be use base on the following
range of values.

Aware/Oftentimes
2 1.51 – 2.50 Slightly

1 1.00– 1.50 Not Aware/Never

Coding of Data

To maintain the confidentiality of the study’s data and variables, the researcher will decide to
code the respondents, demographic profile, and the researchers being involved. The study’s
respondents were assigned codes from 51 to 5400, The demographic profile of the respondents
includes their gender and age. The gender distribution of the respondents is as follows: X males
and Y females. The age of the respondents was coded based on their corresponding age number.
The researchers involved in this study were assigned codes as R1, R2, and R3. By treating the
results numerically, the study can be analyzed while protecting the anonymity of the respondents
and their personal information.
