Bambi Summary
The story begins when the Great Prince of the Forest asks Mr. Owl
for advice on finding a doe who can take care of his son Bambi, who
has just lost his mother. Although the majestic deer is convinced that
raising a fawn is not a task for a Prince, he accepts the
recommendation of the wise owl, who suggests that he take care of
Bambi himself for a few months, until the arrival of spring. The
Prince, who is not used to rubbing shoulders with young people,
tries - with some reservations - to teach his son the secrets of the
forest, as well as the responsibilities of the important condition that
Bambi will one day inherit.
As Bambi and the Prince spend more time together, their bonds
begin to grow closer. Bambi shows faint signs of the courage and
skill he will one day possess, while the Prince's apparent gruffness
softens as he remembers his own youth and the joy that comes from
something as simple as playing. However, just at the moment when
father and son begin to feel comfortable with the bond they have just
created, Bambi will have to go live with his new adoptive mother.
Bambi reluctantly begins this new stage of his life and will have to
demonstrate his bravery and mastery of his father's teachings in a
way that will impress even the Great Prince. Bambi is getting older.
