1. INTRODUCTION
The State Institute of Ecology issues the Image Manual, which is the regulatory document that seeks to standardize and
structure the image of the Vehicle Verification Centers.
This document integrates the technical characteristics as well as the typography, colors and icon guidelines that will be used
exclusively for the Institute and the Vehicle Verification Centers.
The content of this manual must be respected and maintained, with the purpose of reinforcing and establishing a visual identity
between the Vehicle Verification Centers.
GRAPHIC IDENTITY MANUAL

2. AIM
Establish the organic image guide that identifies the Vehicle Verification Centers of the state of
Guanajuato, considering the concepts of service, improvement and transparency; unifying the
appearance of said establishments.

3. SCOPE
The regulations on the organic image of the Vehicle Verification Centers mark both the interior and exterior appearance, as well as
the general characteristics of the architectural elements, signs, equipment and furniture that make up the Vehicle Verification
Centers.
This document is the tool for using the graphic image of the Vehicle Verification Centers. The terminology used here is based on
the documents referred to within the Legal framework.
Likewise, it is important to highlight that the expenses generated by compliance with this manual will be covered by the holders of
the authorizations for the operation and functioning of the Vehicle Verification Centers.

4. APPLICATION
FROM IMAGE.
The correct application of the guidelines and characteristics described allows a professional image to
be projected, giving certainty to users who will provide them with the vehicle verification service in the
terms provided in the State Vehicle Verification Program.
In turn, it seeks to work on the projection of cleanliness, legality, security and trust.
The use of any other logo, commercial image, color, graphic element, typography or visual resource
that alters the appearance of any of the applications contemplated in this manual is strictly prohibited.
Doing otherwise will be considered a serious error in the use of the image and will lead to non-
compliance with this instrument.
The general aspects of identification, information and promotion, necessary for the operation of a
Vehicle Verification Center, have been considered, aspects that include correct signage by area, the
information that the user of the vehicle verification service needs to know or the image external and
internal of the Vehicle Verification Centers, to the appropriate way in which vehicle verification must be
promoted.
For correct use of this manual, it is important to carry out an analysis of the area in the facilities, clean
and/or repair any damage that may detract from the image, in addition to verifying that no logo,
lettering or signage is visible. , graphic or object that could distract attention, hide applications or alter
the final appearance.

Likewise, it is necessary to have adequate lighting in the Vehicle Verification Center facilities, for the correct visualization and reading
of all materials.
Once the preparation of the facilities is completed, all the signs and applications that will be mandatory must be identified, since these
represent the minimum information allowed to offer an adequate and transparent vehicle verification service to citizens.
The production of the described materials must be carried out, strictly adhering to the indicated specifications, in order to keep the
image of the Vehicle Verification Centers current and updated.
If any format or application not contemplated in this manual is required, the application that most closely resembles the proportions
indicated here must be taken as a reference to begin the development of the new material. The general guidelines for the image and
use of the logo must be respected at all times.
Any material that is developed outside of what is contemplated in this Manual must be submitted to the authorization of the State
Institute of Ecology before its publication.

II. COMMON PROVISIONS
REGARDING IMAGE.
• 1. LOGO.

« 1.1 COMPOSITION AND IDENTITY.
This Manual implements the design and production of internal, external or public image materials generated by
the Vehicle Verification Centers of the State of Guanajuato; In addition, it specifies the technical characteristics
and the different applications of the elements that make up the institutional image, such as: icon, logo,
typography and colors.
Regarding the logo, it is made up of an icon or isotype that merges two main concepts:
The checkmark is synonymous with approval or verification and the leaf is a clear representation of the concept
of ecology. A series of cuts have been applied to this leaf that seek to give the effect of transparency in order to
express cleanliness and clarity. The objective is to synthesize graphically the main idea, that is, verification
represents a benefit by keeping the air in our ecosystem clean, in this way we associate this logo with a
positive stimulus, resulting in a strong and recognizable identity.
To complement and reinforce the main concept we use color psychology, which allows us to be more specific
in the message.

Firstly, we use a range of greens that are directly associated with nature,
projecting life and stability; In a complementary way, we use a range of
blues that first expresses cleanliness and tranquility, but at the same time
transmits values such as commitment and trust.
On the other hand, we have used a simple and clear font, which facilitates
reading and balances the visual weight of the icon; We added a color bar
at the bottom that gives a horizon and visual stability to the entire
composition, highlighting the federal entity that supports the program.
All these elements add up to generate a concise logo, of great weight and
visual impact, that will stand out in any application and that with a single
glance expresses a complex but very easy to interpret concept, which will
remain engraved in the mind of anyone. .
Any reproduction of the logo must be made from authorized originals,

however, the grid shown below must be used as an auxiliary line guide.

e 1.2 GRID.
This imaginary grid is defined as a grid that governs the position and
proportion of space between the elements that make up the logo. Its
purpose is to facilitate reproduction and maintain a homogeneous
appearance in any application.
We have defined a unit of measurement called “X” that serves as a

reference to always place the logo elements at the same distance and
proportion.

« 1.3 RESTRICTION AREA.
It is the vital space for the logo, as it outlines the perimeter that must be kept free of any graphics or images.
It is established by generating a perimeter rectangle that

includes the logo and from this we use the “dove” as an
auxiliary to delimit an area that will keep this part clean,
leaving a margin on the sides (left and right) positioning the
“dove” vertically. The top margin measures what the “dot” is
like in a horizontal position.

1.4 MINIMUM LOGO SCALE.
In order for the logo to retain its appearance, be easily recognized, and
be read clearly, we will establish a minimum size to which the logo can be reduced. This
minimum size applies to both printed and digital versions, for each case we have established a
minimum scale in the corresponding unit of measurement.

analyzed to assess the minimum scale to be used. In some printing
systems, the quality does not allow the logo to be made too small, so a
larger size is recommended.

elements of the graphic identity of the Vehicle Verification

With Outdoor advertising we refer to materials used in public places.
The materials have been designed using an 8-column grid for better
composition in horizontal and vertical materials. The design and
composition characteristics of the graphic identity of the Vehicle
Verification Centers must be taken care of when reproducing them.
To use these elements, the Vehicle Verification Center must request

authorization from the State Institute of Ecology.

• 4.1 SIGNS OF
OPERATIONAL PICTOGRAMS.
In the quest to facilitate communication, clearly identify the internal spaces of the Vehicle Verification Centers, as well
as represent the operational dynamics of vehicle verification, a signage system based on pictograms was created.
For each of these pictograms, the idea to be transmitted has been graphically synthesized, so that its meaning and the
space it identifies can be understood even without reading the sign. In any case, each sign is reinforced with a title
that in the least As many words as possible, describe the meaning.
These rectangular signs have a design that seeks to highlight the sign from the surface where they are placed,
however, it is advisable to remove any object or graphic that may hinder or block the visibility of the sign.
This manual presents a complete collection of signs classified by their functionality, with the aim of covering all
possible spaces; It is important to highlight that only the necessary signs should be used and that they are appropriate
to the space of the establishment, so that they contribute to the functionality of the space and do not cause saturation.

Given their nature, these pictograms must be located trying to obtain the greatest visual predominance,
considering the location of the person receiving the sign at the time of reading. Among other criteria, care will
be taken to ensure that a Preventive or Restrictive sign is not blocked by some static element, or that an
element in a dynamic situation (a pedestrian, a moving vehicle, etc.) does not obstruct its reading.
