Overall, it is clear that while the data for music selling by streams increased significantly, the opposite was true for that of CDs purchased, and those by downloads fluctuated between 2011 and 2018 During the first half of period, the proportion of music retailing by streams stood at around 5%, before increasing considerably to about 20% from 2011 to 2014.Moreover, there was a dramatic decrease from around 55% to about 35% in the percentage of music retailing by CDs purchased between 2011 and 2014, which was approximately twice higher than that by streams. Additionally, the data for music retailing by downloads tended to rise to about 43% from 2011 to 2013, followed by a fall to 40% in 2014. In the last four years, the proportion of music selling by streams continuously grew up from around 25% to 40%, which was the highest and also surpassed that of CDs purchased, which uninterruptedly reduced to 25% between 2015 and 2018 to become the lowest figure. Finally, the figure for music selling by downloads slightly fell from 40% to 30%, which was lower than that by streams between 2015 and 2018
