The media

They are the physical representation of communication in our world, that is,
they are the channel through which information is obtained, processed and
finally expressed and communicated.

Their main purpose is to communicate but depending on their type of idea,

they can specialize in informing, educating, transmitting, understanding,
training, giving opinions, teaching, etc.

One of the main functions of the media is to allow us to communicate with

someone who is far away and this can occur in many ways:

Remember that there are mass media, that is, they inform many people at
the same time.

Some are:

1. The letter: It is one of the oldest and little used these days, it allows us to
send information to people who are far away.

2. Telephone or cell phone: The telephone allows easy communication

between people, however cell phones have different applications that people
can use to communicate.

3. Television: It is one of the most important visually due to its easy access,
it allows millions of people in the world to have information of all kinds.

4. Radio: It is the medium with the greatest reach, since it reaches all social
classes for free and with the greatest coverage capacity.

5. The press: This written medium informs but also entertains people due to
its easy access.

6. Cinema: This medium is through images or photography, this language is

communicative because it always transmits a message.

7. The web: Also called the internet, it is the current and rapidly expanding
means of communication in society. It covers many useful things for society.
