1. Vocabulary
Review all of the words, phrases, and useful expressions related to the
following topics: first impressions, food and nutrition, change, and
advertising. More emphasis should be put on pronunciation, parts of
speech, and collocations.
2. Grammar
Auxiliary verbs – be, do, have
Quantifiers with count/ noncount nouns
Tag questions
Modals expressing attitude
3. Pronunciation
Contractions with auxiliary verbs
Links with /j/ and /w/

Notice:
Learners will be able to listen to all recordings twice.
Learners have 10 minutes to transfer the answers onto the answer sheet.
2. Speaking
The speaking test lasts in about 6-8 minutes with two candidates and two
examiners.
There are two parts in the speaking test.
Part 1. Interview (about 2-3 minutes)
Each candidate will be asked 2 questions related to personal questions or daily
life topics including the area where you live or used to live, sports, leisure
activities, work and study, family and friends, travel and holidays, entertainment,
daily life, etc.
Part 2. Presentation (about 4-5 minutes)
Pre-presentation
Each candidate will be given a topic with 1 minute to prepare and 1 minute to give
a short talk about that topic. The candidate is required to five a full answer with
main ideas, supporting details, and examples.
While-presentation
The candidate is expected to listen to your partner’s presentation
Post-presentation
Each candidate is required to ask a question when his/ her partner finishes his/ her
talk. The question should be closely related to what he/ she has just presented in
his/ her talk.
