Subject: Design Concept with Cultural Integration

Design Premise:
Every town or city is aspiring to become known, popular and be recognized for its
rich culture, likewise, for tourism development which is a trend nowadays. If you will be
commissioned to create an architectural design/ presentation, what concept or idea can
you present? What cultural identity, character or inspiration can you introduce?

Objective: To present an architectural “design concept” integrating local cultural

identity/ character or its inspiration.

Presentation Requirements:
1. Final drawing presentation and Design rationale not greater than 150 words (laid-
out within the A3 paper as the main presentation); and
2. Progressive schemes or developmental sketch of your design presentation, if any
(on a separate A3 paper).

Submission Mode: Hardcopy for submission (Note: Save and provide an e-file copy for
submission)

Submission date: On or before April 30, 2024; BUIDEA Office; at 5:00 PM

Presentation Guide, Material and Format:

✓ “Presentation Drawing with Design Rationale” in A3 paper shall be presented (On
white background only);
✓ Number of pages include the main presentation with design rationale (and the
development sketches, if any);
✓ Rendering material to be used is according to your preference;
✓ Manual, digital or its combination for presentation is acceptable;
✓ Suggested Paper: A3 size paper (or its equivalent material of the same A3 size
but NO to cardboards and plastic materials);
✓ Landscape layout presentation;
✓ No borderline required;
✓ Provide a “Nameplate” at the lower right corner of the drawing sheet— with your
Name; Year & Section, Subject, Semester & School Year, Name of Instructor;
and Date of Submission (Indicating the exact date you submitted your project)
