Accidents occur as a result of a messy and dirty environment , slippery floors, materials out of
place, or the accumulation of excess material or waste . Therefore, in any work activity it is
especially important to ensure and maintain order and cleanliness . Integrating workers in the
tasks of having optimal working conditions has a positive impact on safeguarding their physical
integrity, since they ensure that safe and healthy conditions are maintained within INDIPOL, which
directly affects their productivity. In management, it reduces expenses for payments for medical
treatments, insurance, compensation, among others. To comply with the above, when workers
enter their position and work area, the previous shift receives the area clean of material remains

PROCEDURE FOR THE OPERATION AND

MAINTENANCE OF MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT.
I. PURPOSE:

Based on the analysis and determination of the degree of risk, it provides the necessary
knowledge for the safe operation and maintenance of the machinery and equipment used in

SAFETY MEASURES FOR PROTECTORS AND DEVICES

FOR MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT.
1. Protectors and safety devices for machinery and equipment must:
a) Provide total protection to the operator.
b) Allow necessary adjustments at the point of operation
c) Allow free movement of the operator.
d) Prevent unauthorized workers from accessing the risk area.
e) Prevent them from interfering with the operation of machinery and equipment.
f) Not be a risk factor by themselves.
g) Allow the visibility necessary to carry out the operation.

GUIDE FOR STOPPING AND BLOCKING HAZARDOUS

ENERGY IN MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT
To carry out maintenance
