SUBSEA PRODUCTION &

PIPELINE CAPABILITIES
Subsea Production Capabilities

This is a cross sectional view of the above and below

sea level of an Offshore Drilling/Production Platform.
The platform on the left is a Tension Leg Platform
whereas on the right is the Semi Submersible platform
All facilities below the sea level are called the Subsea
System comprising facilities and equipment.
Wells are drilled in multiple numbers which are then
fixed to subsea manifolds which will control the flow
of hydrocarbon
These manifolds are connected either to a production
riser which will be brought up to the production
platform to be separated or to other facilities like the
FPSO or land storage facilities
Subsea Production Capabilities

This is a cross sectional view of the above and below

sea level of an Offshore Drillship/FPSO and Steel
Jacket/Production Platform.
The Drillship on the left is also a Floating Production
Storage Offtake (FPSO) whereas on the right is the
Production Steel Jacket platform
A special valve called the Christmas Tree is fixed to
subsea manifolds which will control the pressure as
well the flow of hydrocarbon towards the surface
These manifolds are connected either to a production
riser which will be brought up to the production
platform or the FPSO to be separated before being
sent to onshore facilties or the FPSO for storage
before being sold.
Subsea Pipeline and Flowline Capabilities

This is a cross sectional view of the above and below

sea level of a Steel Jacket Production Platform and
Pipe Laying ship.
These manifolds are connected either to a production
riser which will be brought up to the production
platform before they are being sent to onshore
facilities or the FPSO for storage before being sold.
Subsea Pipelaying operation is equally important in
the O&G industry as it provide a safe and continuous
connection between the production and separation
and between separation and storage at any given
location and distance on the sea bed.
Subsea Pipeline and Flowline Capabilities

This is a cross sectional view of the above and

below sea level of a Steel Jacket Production
Platform and Onshore Storage Tank facilities.
These manifolds are connected either to a
production riser which will be brought up to
the production platform before they are
being sent to onshore storage facilities for
before being sold.

Subsea Production Capabilities

These are photos of platform and Subsea Christmas

Tree which are installed on top of a subsea manifold
or production platform wellhead.
The Christmas Tree is fixed either to a subsea
manifolds that sits on the wellhead which will control
the pressure as well the flow of hydrocarbon towards
the surface and they are also equipped with a Blow
Our Protection (BOP) system.
The Christmas Tree will also be connected on top of a
production riser which will be brought up to the
production platform to be separated before being
sent to onshore facilities or the FPSO for storage
before being sold.
