SPIRITUAL GIFTS and MINISTRIES

Each believer receives a supply of gifts to use for the building of the
body of Christ and for the Glory of God.
-Not only does it give you a gift, it gives you the power to develop it effectively. “
God has given each person the gift of performing a certain task WELL... If you
possess the gift of serving others, serve well. If you are a teacher, be a good
teacher… ” Romans 12.6,7.
1 Peter 4.10,11 “ Each one, according to the gift he has received, minister it to
others, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him
speak according to the words of God… so that in everything God may be glorified.”
-We must ensure that our gift is for the benefit of others (1 Cor 12.7 “ But to each
one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for benefit ”). Each gift is a
manifestation of the Spirit of God, therefore, pride or personal prestige is left out,
and we must avoid admiration for certain brothers since it is God Who is behind
them and working in them.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS and MINISTRIES

We must perform correctly and exemplarily in our ministries.
-We must use them to bless others
-We must use them to help our brothers in faith
grow spiritually -We must exercise them with love
and in a manner
SPIRITUAL GIFTS and MINISTRIES
We must perform correctly and exemplarily in our ministries.

-We should NEVER use them as an exercise of

power or for mere personal benefit
-We must always keep in mind that ministries
belong to God
SPIRITUAL GIFTS and MINISTRIES
We must perform correctly and exemplarily in our ministries.
-The ministries of the church represent the church, they
bear good or bad testimony of the church, therefore, we
must carry them out in an honorable manner and always
with pastoral consent.
-You do not appoint yourself to a ministry, the church
appoints you under the consent of God
-We must respect and support the ministries of others
GOD'S HOUSE
The structure where the Church (that is, the children of God) meets
is a holy and solemn place.
The Temple built by Solomon was very beautiful, worshiped, and
expensive. The Bible indicates that more than 330,000 workers were
employed on the project. There were 30,000 sent by Solomon to Lebanon
for building materials. There were 70,000 who were porters, and 80,000
were stonemasons in the mountains. In addition to the Hebrew workers,
there were also 153,000 outsiders who helped. The project was of such
magnitude that it required 3,600 foremen. However, during the
construction of the Temple, the Bible says, "neither hammers nor axes
were heard in the house, nor any other iron implement. " (1 Kings 6:7)

-Jesus Drives the Merchants Out of the Temple (Mark 11:15-18)
They arrived at Jerusalem; And when Jesus entered the temple, he
began to cast out those who were selling and buying in the temple; He
overturned the tables of those who changed money and the seats of
those who sold doves, 16 and did not allow anyone to carry anything
through the temple. 17 And he taught them, saying: “Is it not written: ' MY
HOUSE WILL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL NATIONS '? But you have made
it a DEN OF THIEVES .” 18 The chief priests and scribes heard this and sought
to destroy Jesus, but they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was
amazed at His teaching.

is a holy and solemn place.
-The brothers must always remember that the temple is not a social club,
but the house of God. Therefore they must conduct themselves with
respect.
We come to church to worship God, to seek his face and to give him the
best of ourselves.
-We must worry about keeping the temple beautiful, orderly, clean and
in the best possible condition. We must take care of the house of God.
-Everything in the temple belongs to God, everything is consecrated to
God, therefore, we will only give it the use for which it was designated.

The priest

The priests in general, and the high priest in particular, were to maintain
the highest standards of character and conduct; and they were never to
offer sacrifice below the standards. In this, they were a picture of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the perfect high Priest and the perfect sacrifice (Heb
7:26–28; 10:1–14). They also present a challenge to God's people as
priests (1 Pt 2:5, 9) and sacrifices (Rom 12:1) to give their best to God.

The Temple Musicians (1 Chronicles 25)

25 1-6 David and the leaders in charge of the temple separated Asaph,
Heman and Jeduthun, along with all their sons, to be in charge of the
music for the services. These musicians communicated messages from
God through their songs or accompanied by musical instruments, and
were under the direct orders of King David. Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun
led their sons when they praised God in the temple, accompanied by
harps, cymbals, and other stringed instruments.

The temple musicians (They were selected for their special qualities)

-Musicians sing for God, so they must do so in a responsible and reverent

manner.

-Musicians lead the church in the worship of God, therefore they must
assume their role in the most orderly and spiritual way possible.

Those who serve in the temple (Acts 6:1-3)

In those days, as the number of the disciples increased, there was a

murmuring among the Greeks against the Hebrews, that their widows
were neglected in the daily distribution.
2
Then the twelve called together the multitude of disciples, and said, It
is not right that we should leave the word of God, to serve tables.
3
Therefore, brothers, look for seven men of good testimony among you,
full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we will entrust with this work.
Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
God formed and modeled man and woman and then arranged them into
marriage units. God's blessing on each of those couples would be shown
when they conceived a new person who resembled both, father and
mother. God promotes this process by commanding couples to be fruitful
and multiply.
And God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him,
male and female He created them. And God blessed them; And he said to
them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it,
and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air,
and over all the living things that move on the earth. (Genesis 1:27:28 KJV)
Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
So, God not only formed man and woman. He also designed marriage and
family to fulfill His highest purpose.

Hebrews chapter 13 and verse 14 says: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed
undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge . "

The family plays a crucial role in the plans of God's kingdom on earth.
The family is the reason why God communicates, preserves and promotes
His dominion. The home is the place in which His truths are lived and
taught. When visiting a Christian family, they should be able to convey a
good impression of God's goodness, love, order, communion, provision
and laws.
Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
-But for the family to fulfill God's plan, the Christian must be clear and
maintain the correct order of priorities in his life:

God, family, church.

Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
-Man and woman must educate their children in the fear of God and
instruct them to be useful people:

“Train up a child in the way he should go,And even when he

is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
-Man and woman must educate their children in the fear of God and
instruct them to be useful people:

These then are the commandments, statutes and decrees that

the Lord your God commanded to teach you, so that you may
put them into practice in the land to which you are passing to
take it; that you may fear the Lord your God, keeping all his
statutes and his commandments that I command you, you,
your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life, so that
your days may be long.
Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
-God wants the entire family to serve him and gather in the temple:

“ And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for

yourself today whom you will serve; whether to the gods whom
your fathers served, when they were on the other side of the
river, or to the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live;
But I and my house will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
Marriage and family
They are institutions founded by God
-God wants us to dedicate all the time it deserves to our family.
1. Make time for your family; Deuteronomy 6:6-7
2. Good parents know how to communicate; James 1:19
3. Discipline your children with love and praise them; Colossians
3:21
4. Love and respect your wife; Ephesians 5:25,33
5. Teach them by example to love God; Deuteronomy 6:5-6

Parents should never be too busy

to have to neglect his family
The body

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit of God

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy

Spirit, who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you
are not your own?
For you have been bought with a price; Therefore glorify God
in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
The body
Therefore we have to take care of our body

-Tattoos, unnecessary mutilations

“Do not get wounds on your body because of the dead, or
tattoos on your skin. I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:28

-What we eat and drink, and how we do it

“So whether you eat or drink or do anything else, do it all to
the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

The body
Therefore we have to take care of our body
-Sins of a sexual nature corrupt the body and spirit
(fornication, adultery, lasciviousness, uncleanness, orgies)

1 Corinthians 6: 18-19Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

18
Flee from fornication. Any other sin that man commits is
outside the body; but he who fornicates sins against his own
body.
19
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy
Spirit, who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you
are not your own?
The body

Therefore we have to take care of our body

-We must rest adequately

-We must also attend to our health issues

(physical and emotional)
OUTFIT

Our clothing should please God

-The Bible commands us to dress discreetly and correctly One

aspect of dressing correctly and discreetly is making sure that
all parts of the body that should be covered are appropriately
covered.

Likewise, women should dress in decent clothing, with

modesty and modesty; not with ostentatious hair, nor gold,
nor pearls, nor expensive clothing, but with good works, as
befits women who profess piety.” 1 Timothy 2:9-10
OUTFIT

Our clothing should please God

-Likewise, men should not dress indecently.

-In the house of the Lord, particularly, we must dress in a

reverent manner and not provoke comments from the other
brothers. We must always remember that we are in God's
house and not our own.
CONDUCT

- Conduct at Work, School and other public and private

places

(21) envy, murder, drunkenness, orgies, and things similar to

these; About which I warn you, as I have told you before, that
those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of
God.
THE CREATION OF GOD

THE VALUES OF CREATION CARE

Respect for creation

-See in Creation the gift that God has given us. Respect
Creation by taking care of all its elements.

-Take advantage of nature's assets in a reasonable manner and

with the responsibility of inheriting them to future

THE CREATION OF GOD
“Then God said: Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, so that
they may rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the
livestock, the wild beasts, and the creeping things of the earth. And
God created human beings in his image; in the image of God he
created them; male and female he created them. And God blessed
them, saying to them: Grow and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;
dominate over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky and all the
animals that move on the earth. And he added: I give you all the
plants that exist on earth and have seeds to be planted; and all the
trees that produce fruit with their seed will serve as food for them….
So it was. Then God saw everything he had made, and it was all very
good” (Gen 1:26-31).
