good health and that we are fortunate to be able to have good physical

and mental abilities.

Initiation (or prior) phase of the activity:

First of all, we learned about creative activities that are good for people with children with disabilities

since the crafts workshop was going to be taught to two children with a mental disability. Among these

activities were carpentry, origami and kneading. For reasons of ease of obtaining the materials, it was

established that the activities were going to be origami and kneading. One improves motor skills such as

eye and hand coordination, and the other allows motor skills and coordination respectively. It was defined

that to follow biosafety regulations, it will be done through the Zoom platform.
Activity development phase:

For the activity, the order of the crafts to be made will be explained. First, an activity will be done with

plasticine, and then origami will be made. The activity lasts approximately 15 minutes. And so that

everything is done clearly, before the activity begins, they will be notified about the materials they are

going to use, in this case paper (origami or not) and plasticine of any color. We want this space to be one

of tranquility and learning, and activities like this make it possible for children to learn interestingly and

entertainingly. In addition, they want to end, at least for a moment, the monotony of every day and take

advantage of the activities that were planned for the two of them.

1. introduction (4 min)

2. activity 1 (10 min)

3. activity 2 (10 min)

4. closing and thanks (1 min)

Conclusion or closure of the activity:

In the end, the two children were thanked for such a beautiful and rewarding space. In addition, we

forget for a moment about the negative factors of the pandemic such as avoiding going out with

acquaintances, creating learning spaces and even going to school. Likewise, we realized how lucky we are to

simply be alive and to be in good health in every way. Creativity became an essential element for learning,

and there is no better way to do it than in a fun way, these crafts brought out our inner little girls,

playing with plasticine again and making paper figures again, everything without stress.
