Plumbing Task Spring


Check indoor and outdoor faucets for leaks. Clean the aerators. Replace washers if necessary.
Faucets and shower heads

Drains Clean with baking soda. Pour water down unused drains.
Pipeline Inspect visible pipes for leaks.

Kitchen and bathroom cabinets Check underneath and around for leaks.
Bathrooms Check stability and leaks.

Water heater Check the area around the water heater for leaks. If you have hard water, drain 1-2 gallons of water.

Wood Cabinets and Trim Apply a wood protector.

interior doors Lubricate the hinges.


garage door Lubricate the hardware. Inspect the free travel mechanism.

Door and window rails Check if the drain holes are open. Clean dirt and dust. Lubricate the rollers and latches.
Basement or cellar Check for cracks or any signs of moisture or leaks. Look for any evidence of termites or wood-feeding
insects.
Ceramic tiles Check and clean the grout.

Electricity and appliances Task Spring

Heating and cooling systems Clean and replace filters if necessary.


Kitchen extractor Remove and clean the filter. Clean any accumulated grease deposits on the fan housing.

Fridge Wipe dust off the top. Clean the refrigerator drain pan. Clean and defrost the freezer if necessary.

Dishwasher Check for leaks.

Wiring, electrical cables and enc Check for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
Smoke detector Test for proper operation and replace batteries if necessary.

GFI points of sale Proof of correct operation.

Base Inspect visible areas, vents and ducts for cracks, leaks or blockages.

nests, squirrels and insects. Check flashing around roof chimneys, vents and skylights for leaks.
Chimney Clean and check for deteriorated bricks and mortar. Check for leaks. Look for birds, nests, squirrels
and insects.

Gutters and downspouts Clean and check for leaks, misalignment or damage.
Exterior walls Check for deteriorated bricks and mortar. Check the siding for damage or rot. Check painted surfaces
for peeling.
Landscaping Trim bushes around walls. Remove tree limbs, limbs or debris that may attract insects (no wood or
bushes should be within 3 inches of your home) Maintain grading

Concrete and asphalt Check for cracks or deterioration. Reseal or repair if necessary.

septic system Examine the septic system drain field for flooding and odors. Have the tank pumped annually.
