PROJECTS:

B.E FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Project: "Design and Development of Convertible Staircase into Ramp for Physically Disabled Person"

Aim/Objective: The aim of this project was to design and develop a convertible staircase that can be easily transformed
into a ramp for physically disabled persons. The objective was to provide a solution that can improve accessibility and
mobility for people with disabilities and enable them to navigate spaces that are not easily accessible with conventional
stairs.
Inference/Procedure: To complete this project, we first conducted a thorough study of the accessibility requirements
and regulations for disabled persons in public spaces. We then designed a convertible staircase that can be easily
transformed into a ramp using a motorized mechanism. We used 3D modeling and simulation tools to validate the
design and ensure it meets the safety and accessibility standards. We also conducted prototype testing and evaluated
the user experience and feedback.

Outcomes: The project resulted in a convertible staircase that can be easily transformed into a ramp for physically
disabled persons. The mechanism is motorized, making it easy to operate and adjust as needed. The design meets the
safety and accessibility standards, and it can be installed in public Transport such as trains , bus , and community
centers to improve mobility and accessibility for people with disabilities. The project demonstrates the potential of
using innovative design and technology to address the challenges of accessibility and mobility for people with
disabilities.

SKILL LYNC PROJECTS

1.Project: "2D Heat Conduction Analysis using Iterative Technique (in MATLAB)

Aim/Objective: The aim of this project was to solve the 2D heat conduction equation using iterative techniques such as
Jacobi, Gauss-Seidel, and Successive over-relaxation. The objective was to obtain the temperature distribution in a 2D
system and compare the performance of different iterative methods.
Inference/Procedure: To complete this project, we first developed a numerical model of the 2D heat conduction
equation with the given boundary conditions. We then implemented iterative techniques such as Jacobi, Gauss-Seidel,
and Successive over-relaxation to solve the equation and obtain the temperature distribution in the system. We
compared the performance of each method in terms of convergence rate and accuracy.

Outcomes: The project resulted in a temperature distribution map of the 2D system, which was obtained using iterative
techniques. We found that the Successive over-relaxation method had the fastest convergence rate and achieved the
highest accuracy among the three methods tested. The results from this project can be used to optimize thermal design
and performance in various engineering applications, such as heat exchangers, electronic devices, and building
insulation systems.

2. Project: "CHT Analysis of Exhaust Port"

Aim/Objective: The aim of this project was to conduct a conjugate heat transfer (CHT) analysis of an exhaust port in an
internal combustion engine. The objective was to evaluate the temperature distribution, heat transfer rates, and
thermal stresses in the exhaust port.

Inference/Procedure: To complete this project, we first developed a 3D model of the engine exhaust port and imported
it into a CFD software for simulation. We set up the CHT analysis to simulate the flow of hot exhaust gases through the
port and the transfer of heat to the surrounding solid material. We analyzed the temperature distribution, heat transfer
rates, and thermal stresses in the port and evaluated the impact of various design parameters on the thermal
performance.

Outcomes: The project resulted in a comprehensive understanding of the thermal behavior of the engine exhaust port,
including the temperature distribution, heat transfer rates, and thermal stresses. The simulation results can be used to
optimize the design of the exhaust port to improve its thermal performance, such as reducing thermal stresses and
preventing failure due to overheating. The CHT analysis can also be extended to other engine components to improve
overall engine performance and reliability.
