You are provided with specimen W and solution E and F which are of
different concentrations. Mix 7 cm3 of F and 3 cm3 of to make solution G.
label three test tubes or petri dishes as E, F and G. Add 5cm 3 of
corresponding solutions to each test tub. Peel specimen W and cut two
strips measuring 0.5cmx0.5cmx3cm
Place one strip in each of the test tube. Ensure that each strips is well
covered with solution. Leave the strips in solution for 25 minutes
a. After 25minutes, remove the strips from the test tubes and measure
the length of each strip. Record your results in the table below

Version 3
You are provided with solutions E and F. cut a piece of a plant stem from A
with atleast two internodes. You are to carry out tests on A using the
solutions by following the instructions below. Add 6cm3 of F and 2 cm3 of E
to make solution G. label three petri dishes as E, F and G and fill each with
corresponding solutions. Measure and cut off a piece 4cm long A using a
razor blade, evenly peel off 3 strips, each about 2mm thick, along the whole
length of the cut piece. Ensure each piece has the epidermis.
Put one strip in each of the solutions in the petri dishes and leave for 2
minutes (you may proceed with other work)
a. After 20 minutes, remove the strips from the solution and
