Football history

The beginning...

Soccer was founded in England. Its rules from then on guen
current to current football.


During the 16th century, British schools and the headmaster Ri
chard Mulcaster , were instrumental in eliminating the compo
more violent and transform it into a team sport and be harmful to
school students.
History of the ball:


Until the mid-19th century, the balls used were made from pig
bladders, so their shape and mobility were very unstable.

Thanks to the vulcamization of rubber, Charles Goodyear designed


and created the first spherical soccer ball in 1855.
Regulation


11 players for each team.


90-minute match (two 45-minute halves).


15 min break.


Each team has 3 substitutions.


Depending on the competition, there may be 6 to
4 referees.
Football fields

It is made of grass and has the


following dimensions:
From 100 to 110 m long and from
64 to 75 m wide
The goals are 2.44 long and 7.32
wide.
First World Cup held:


The first World Cup that was played was in Uruguay in 1930.


Uruguay would pay all expenses to all teams
participants.


Many European teams did not participate in this World Cup
due to the post-war crisis that the continent was experiencing.
Player positions:


GOALIE:

Player whose main objective is to prevent the ball from entering


his goal during the game. Only player who can touch the ball
with his hands.

DEFENSES:

Player located on the line in front of the goalkeeper and one


behind the midfielders. Main objective to stop the attacks of the
rival team.

MEDIA:

The function of the midfielders is to recover balls, promote the


creation of plays and exploit the offensive game.

FORWARDS:

Player “closest” to the opposing goal, that is why they are the most
responsible for scoring the goals.
