Subject: Confirmation of Independent Contractor Agreement for Home Construction

I am pleased to confirm that I have engaged the services of Colbert Elliott as an independent contractor
for the construction of my house located at Ticky Ticky District, Coleyville P.O. Manchester Jamaica
ongoing since January 2023. This letter outlines the terms and conditions of our agreement.

**Scope of Work:**

Colbert is responsible for the complete construction of the house as per the architectural and
engineering plans provided. This includes, but is not limited to, foundation work, framing, roofing,
electrical, plumbing, interior and exterior finishes, and all other tasks necessary to complete the project.
Where subcontractors are required to complete specific tasks, they are mutually agreed upon between
Colbert and myself.
**Project Timeline:**

The construction commenced on January 3rd, 2023 and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
Any changes to this timeline shall be mutually agreed upon in writing.

**Payment Terms:**

The total labour compensation for the project is $7,000,000, which will be paid in installments as
follows:

- Progress payments based upon the completion of each major phase of construction during a fortnight
(e.g., foundation, framing, roofing, etc.). The table below depicts total payment to date.

**Materials and Equipment:**

Colbert provides all necessary tools, equipment, and materials required for the construction. Any specific
materials required by the client is communicated and approved in advance.

**Termination:**

This agreement may be terminated by either party with 2 weeks written notice. In the event of
termination, Colbert will be compensated for all work completed up to the date of termination.
