The bar chart delineates the percentage of problems that British residents living in urban

areas faced in the year 2018.


Overall, health service was a major concern in big UK cities in 2018, whereas air
pollution was the least worrying issue.
In 2018, approximately 60% of people in two big cities, namely Belfast and Cardiff,
found it difficult to use health services. In Birmingham, the percentage of dwellers
struggling with this problem accounted for 55%. Meanwhile, the figures for other cities
made up at around 50%.

It is clear that education and training were the second challenging issue in these cities in
UK. Around a half of residents in five of these seven cities, exept for Newcastle and
Manchester, had trouble in educating and training. By contrast, the percentages of city
residents in these areas encountering air contamination were negligible, from 5% to 15%,
with the highest figure being in Manchester.
