Suggestions if you travel with others:

Pray for those who must join you on this pilgrimage. Ask
God for teachable women eager to grow in Christ.
Consider how you can make this a “Titus 2 Moment.”
Invite younger and/or older women to take this journey with
you. Invite one or many; any amount can work.
Set a goal and be realistic. Find a convenient time and
place to have a meaningful conversation.
Go prepared. Encourage everyone to read the scriptures,
manifesto statements, and journal in advance.
Stay on topic and stay focused.
Encourage them all to be good listeners, to maintain
confidentiality, to avoid gossip, backbiting, and to be
thoughtful and careful when offering advice.
Let God's Word be your true source of authority when
difficult questions arise.
Pray, pray, and then pray some more. Pray for the Spirit of
God to work in all hearts.

A 30-day journey through the True Woman Manifesto

What is the manifesto about?

of True Woman?

Let's make things clear from the beginning: you cannot live the True
Woman Manifesto. You will quickly find that it is very hard, very
difficult. Reading it, you're probably thinking: I'll never live up to all
that! Did you know? You can not. None of us can.

Living up to the Manifesto—or the Word of God—is something you

cannot do. You cannot be a True Woman on your own. As Nancy
Leigh DeMoss says,

“We do not have the capacity, the desire, the ability to be this type of
woman. “We are totally dependent on the grace of God and the power of
His Spirit living within us to be the kind of woman we are talking about.”

The True Woman Manifesto is about the grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ—and His Gospel—invading your life and giving you grace to
bring the beauty, the wonder of Christ, and the Good News to your
world. . . as a woman.

Since 2008, tens of thousands of women have signed the Manifesto.

They have said: “Yes, Lord! “We want to be women who reflect the
heart of Christ in this way.”

The True Woman Manifesto is made up of thirty-five statements—

each based on Scripture—and is designed to materialize in your
daily life. This little booklet in your hands will help you and others
personalize the Manifesto. We trust that you will receive
encouragement

8
TrueWomanManifesto.com/read/

as you spend time in the Manifesto—But you will likely find it

challenging, and yes, it will also
bring you conviction.
“I have read [the True
Woman Manifesto] more The True Woman Manifesto was
than once and I consider it
developed to be a concise statement of
faithful, clear, true, wise, in
the central aspects of what it means to
fact a magnificent document.

hearts.”
the fundamental aspects of what it means to live as a Christian
woman.

The True Woman Manifesto has three “movements”:

• First, it establishes a foundation that is true for every life,
whether male or female.
• Second, it speaks to the authority of Scripture as the
source that reveals God's pattern for women.
• Finally, delve deeper into God's plan for your life as a
woman and how you can best fulfill His desires.

Thus, the True Woman Manifesto is a practical message that truly

affects every area of your life. Talk about:
• your way of thinking
• your worldview and perspective
• the way you respond to pressure
• your values and priorities
• your commitments
• the way you talk to women and men
• the way to show respect to others, created to
image of God.
As Nancy Leigh DeMoss says, “every area of our lives is impacted
depending on whether or not we live God's design for our lives as
women.” This is what the True Woman Manifesto is about.

A 30-day journey through the True Woman Manifesto

In your heart and in your home—in the hearts and homes of

Christian women around the world—a revival and reformation
movement is needed “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

“The True Woman Manifesto is not
intended to be a complete
statement of faith, nor an infallible
guide to all aspects of life, nor a
document that in any way adds to
or replaces Scripture. The True
Woman Manifesto is a guide that
highlights some of the main points
we believe the Bible says to
women, and declares our
conviction that, even if its
teachings are not popular in these
times, the Bible offers the best
(and the most authoritative)
instruction regarding what we
believe and how we live as
women.”

manifest REAL WOMAN

A declaration of faith and consecration in prayer, personal
and corporate, to the end that Jesus Christ may be exalted,
and that the glory and redeeming power of God's love
may be manifested throughout the entire earth.

WE BELIEVE that God is the Sovereign Lord of the universe and

the Creator of life, and that everything created exists for His delight
and to bring Him glory.

WE BELIEVE that the creation of humanity, as male and female,

was an intentional and wonderful part of God's wise plan, and that
men and women were created to reflect the image of God in
complementary but distinct ways.

WE BELIEVE that sin has separated every human being from

God and has made us unable to reflect His image as we were
created to do. Our only hope for restoration and salvation is found in
repenting of our sins and trusting in Christ who lived a sinless life,
died in our place, and was raised from the dead.

WE RECOGNIZE that we live in a culture that does not

recognize God's right to rule, nor accept the Scriptures as the
standard for life, and is suffering the consequences of abandoning
God's design for men and women.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is redeeming this sinful world and

making all things new; and His followers are called to share in His
redemptive purposes as they seek, through His power, to transform
those aspects of human life that have been stained and ruined by sin.

As Christian women, we desire to honor God by living

counterculture lives that reflect to the world the beauty of
Christ and His Gospel.

TO THIS PURPOSE, WE DECLARE THAT...

SCRIPTURES are God's authorized means of instructing us in
His ways and reveal His pattern for our womanhood, character,
priorities, roles, responsibilities, and relationships.

WE GLORIFY GOD and experience His blessings when we

accept and joyfully embrace the creation of His design, functions and
order for our lives.

AS REDEEMED SINNERS , we cannot fully experience the

beauty of our biblical femininity, separated from the sanctifying work
of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

BOTH MEN AND WOMEN were created in the image of God

and are equal in value and dignity, but they have different roles and
functions in the home and in the Church.

WE ARE CALLED , as women to affirm and encourage men in

their quest to express their godly masculinity; and to honor and
support the leadership that God has ordained in the home and in the
Church.

MARRIAGE , as created by God, is a sacred, binding, lifelong

covenant between a man and a woman.

WHEN WE humbly RESPOND to male leadership, in the

home and in the church, we demonstrate a noble submission to
authority, which reflects Christ's submission to the authority of God,
His Father.
SELFISH about our personal rights is
INSISTENCE
contrary to the spirit of Christ who humbled Himself, took the form of
a servant and laid down His life for us.
HUMAN LIFE is precious to God and must be cherished and
protected from the moment of conception until death.

A 30-day journey through the True Woman Manifesto

CHILDREN are a blessing from God; and women were especially

designed to be givers and sustainers of life, whether to their
biological or adopted children, and to other children in their sphere of
influence.

GOD'S PLAN for gender is broader than marriage.

All women, married or single, must model femininity in their various
relationships; exhibiting distinctive modesty, sensitivity and
gentleness of spirit.

SUFFERING is an inevitable reality in a fallen world. At times we

will be called to suffer doing what is right, looking to heavenly reward
rather than earthly delights, for the sake of the Gospel and the
advancement of Christ's Kingdom.

MATURE CHRISTIAN WOMEN have the responsibility of

leaving a legacy of faith, discipling younger ones in the Word and
ways of God and modeling lives of fruitful womanhood for the next
generation.

BELIEVING THE ABOVE STATED, we declare our

intention and desire to become “True Women ” of God.
We dedicate ourselves to fulfilling His calling and purpose
for our lives. Through His grace and in humble dependence
on His power, we:
1. We will seek to love God our Lord with all our heart, soul,
mind and strength.
2. We will joyfully relinquish control of our lives to Christ as Lord
– I will say, “Yes, Lord” to the Word and will of God.
3. We will be women of the Word, seeking to grow in our
knowledge of the Scriptures and live according to sound
doctrine in every area of our lives.
4. We will cultivate our communion and intimacy with God
through prayer: in praise, thanksgiving, confession,
intercession and supplication.
5. We will accept and express our unique design and calling as

1
4
TrueWomanManifesto.com/read/

women, with humility, gratitude, faith and joy.

6. We will seek to glorify God by cultivating virtues such as
purity, modesty, submission, meekness and love.
7. We will show the respect due to men and women, created in
the image of God, considering others as better than
ourselves; seeking to build them up, putting aside bitterness,
anger and bad words.
8. We will be faithfully engaged in our local church, submitting to
our spiritual leaders, growing in the context of the faith
community, using the gifts God has given us to serve others,
building up the Body of Christ, and fulfilling His redemptive
purposes in the world. world.
9. We will seek to establish homes that manifest the love, grace,
beauty and order of God; that they provide a climate
favorable to life and that they extend Christian hospitality to
those outside the walls of our home. We will honor the
sanctity, purity and permanence of the marriage covenant,
whether ours or that of others.
10. We will honor the sanctity, purity, and permanence of the
marriage covenant, whether it is our own or that of others.
11. We will receive children as a blessing from God, seeking to
train them to love and follow Jesus Christ and to consecrate
their lives to His Gospel and His Kingdom.
12. We will model the command of Titus 2, as older women,
modeling godliness and training the younger ones to please
God in every way; as young women receiving instruction with
meekness and humility, aspiring to become mature women of
God who in turn will train the next generation.
13. We will seek opportunities to share the Gospel of Christ with
the unsaved.

14. We will reflect the heart of God towards the poor, sick,
oppressed, widows, orphans and those in prison; ministering
to their physical and spiritual needs in the name of Christ.

15. We will pray for a movement of revival and reformation

among God's people that will result in the advancement of
the Kingdom and Gospel of Christ among all nations.

The True Woman Movement

We firmly believe that God will bring widespread and personal revival
and reformation among women. We long for a movement of Christ-
centered revival and biblical womanhood, where women:
Discover and embrace God's design and mission for your
lives,
Reflect the beauty and heart of Christ to your world,
Intentionally pass the baton of Truth to the next generation,
and
Pray fervently for an outpouring of God's Spirit in your
families, churches, nation, and world.

Revive Our Hearts and the True Woman Movement are a call to women to
freedom, wholeness and abundance in Christ. Thank you for taking this trip with
us!

Women's Ministries Leaders. . . We are here for you!

Whether you are a small group Bible study leader, pastor's wife, mentor,
