PRODUCTIVE TIMES (TP),

PERUVIAN WINGS
CONTRIBUTORY TIMES (TNC), AND
CONTRIBUTORY TIMES (TC);
ESTABLISHED IN AN EXECUTION
PROJECT
INTRODUCTION
There are many causes that produce unproductive times in construction works, which
in turn generate inefficiencies in the administration of the resources involved and in
the general direction of the works. The above translates into an increase in costs in the
execution of the project, due to the misuse of resources. That is why this work will
reveal the main causes that generate unproductive and productive times, for this
purpose a visit to the work was made called:

“ REPAIR OF INFRASTRUCTURE BLOCK; IN IT

MUNICIPAL CAMAL CATEGORY 01 IN THE LOCATION OF SAN
JERONIMO, SAN JERONIMO DISTRICT, PROVINCE
ANDAHUAYLAS, APURIMAC DEPARTMENT ”

FROM WHICH THE MAIN TIMES IN CONSTRUCTION, BOTH PRODUCTIVE,

CONTRIBUTORY AND NON-TAXRATORY, COULD BE VERIFIED.
Define Productive Time, Contributory Times
and Non-Contributory Time in the aforementioned work.

GOALS:
Detect the main productive, contributory and non-contributory jobs found in the
aforementioned work.
BASIC DEFINITIONS:

PRODUCTIVE WORK (TP):

It is given by all Work that contributes directly to production with respect to an activity.
Example: lay bricks, pour concrete, carry out excavations.

CONTRIBUTORY WORK (TC):

Support work, which must be carried out so that productive work can be carried out, but
which does not generate direct value to production. Example: Receive or give
instructions, transport materials, clean, read plans, etc.

NON-CONTRIBUTORY WORK (TNC):

Any activity that does not provide any value and is considered a loss. Example: Waiting,
breaks, idle time, etc.

PRODUCTIVITY

Productivity is defined as the relationship between final production and productive

factors (land, equipment and labor) used in the production of goods and services. In
general, productivity refers to what the work generates, the production per worker,
the production per hour worked or any other type of production indicator based on
the labor factor. Higher productivity means doing more with the same amount of
resources or doing the same thing with less capital, labor, and land.
STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY

• Identify and apply low-cost solutions.

• Develop solutions aimed at simultaneously improving working conditions,

construction quality and work productivity.

• Conceive improvements adapted to total real situations.

• Put emphasis on obtaining concrete results.

• Link working conditions with other management objectives.

• Use learning through practice as a technique.

FACTORS THAT NEGATIVELY AFFECT
PRODUCTIVITY IN CONSTRUCTION

Design modification during the execution of the Project Grouping of workers in

very small spaces.
Inadequate distribution of materials on site
Lack of supervision of workers.
FACTORS THAT ARE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT

1 .- COMPOSITION OF THE GROUP

2 .- TYPE OF CONTRACT
3
ARE

.- STATE OF TIME
4 .- STATE OF THE TOOLS TO BE USED
• Greater competitiveness.

ADVANTAGES OF PRODUCTIVITY IN CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES

• Customer satisfaction.

• Confidence of clients and suppliers.

• Permanence in the market in the medium and long term.

• Reduction and compliance with delivery times.

• Lower costs.

• Avoid delays in the completion dates of each element in the work.

RECOGNITION AND IDENTIFICATION OF PRODUCTIVE,
CONTRIBUTORY AND NON-CONTRIBUTORY ACTIVITIES

NON-CONTRIBUTORY WORK

EXAMPLE
S
ARE:
Non-Contributory Work is defined as the percentage of the work day that includes unproductive
time generated in a work.
Causes
ACTIONS THAT MAKE UP THIS CATEGORY

According to Virgilio Ghio's Productivity Book

Travel (13%):
as frequent:
Oversized crew
Lack of supervision
material flow efficiency
Idle time: (10%) Lack of supervision and attitude of the worker

Waiting (6%):
Lack of field
Deficiency in material flow

Redone work (3%):

Poor quality
Jobs ml executed
Deterioration of work already
done
Design changes
CONTRIBUTORY WORK (TC)

We define contributory work as support work, which must be carried out so that productive
work can be carried out. A necessary activity, but which does not add value. In an
explanatory way, within the contributing activities we consider: Transportation of material
and/or tools (T), any type of Measurement (M), Cleaning (L), giving or receiving
Instructions (I), and within the activities Classified as Other taxpayers (O), we have,
according to the item to which they belong:
Manual transportation (14%):
-
Material flow deficiencies
-
Lack of programming and control of equipment use

Others(11%):
-
slow jobs
-
Lack of design of construction processes

Measurements(5%):
-
The increase in measurements also occurs when there are activities such as masonry and
plastering which arise from frequent measurements for their correct execution.

Cleaning or cleaning (4%):

-
The lack of crews specialized in cleaning tasks means that the crews must assign one or
more of their members to carry them out.
-
Because such activities do not correspond to regular crews, cleaning
-
And the order of the workplace causes in many cases the appearance of gangs.
-
dedicated to cleaning tasks
-
The poor distribution of personnel on site, together with poor planning, causes personnel
without fixed activities for the day to spend their time cleaning regardless of their rank.
Instructions(3%):
- The information that reaches workers is deficient, causing them to
Continually request clarification on it to be able to do your job.
Lack of knowledge of the activities to be carried out during the day by the crews
brings with it the search for instructions every time the work front is changed.
