The Perfect Monster

It tells the story of a teenager who travels to Córdoba, he becomes completely bald.
He has an uncle who is neither dead nor sick, but mysteriously disappears in the
forest and appears in recurring nightmares. In history there is a secret that is not
wanted to be told and a vacation to discover it.

Type of narrative: it is a short novel of the fantasy subgenre, in which certain

silences around a character cause an enigma that keeps the reader in
suspense. There is an extraordinary fact that consists of the transformation of a
character into a monstrous being due to its dimensions and the procedure with
which such changes occur .

Theme: the search for truth. The obsession that leads to madness. Discrimination
due to a different physical characteristic.

Argument
Fernando, a teenager who is on vacation, visits his cousin Mónica and his aunt
Olga, who live in Córdoba, for a few days. For some time Fernando has been
suffering from nightmares that make him suffer a lot. A consequence of this
suffering is that he has gone completely bald. During his vacation in Córdoba,
Fernando will gradually enter into the unveiling of a family mystery about which
there is only silence, anguish, suspense: what happened to Uncle Wilton? Wilton
was employed at a dairy company. He loved his job, so at a time of the country's
economic crisis, they cut jobs and laid him off. From that moment on, Wilton begins
a process of transforming his character and gets closer and closer to the forest,
until he finally moves away from his home, performs experiments with the living
beings that live on the hill (animals and plants) and He doesn't return home. His
body is transforming. He is so passionate about the landscape that different living
beings stick to his body: it takes on monstrous and gigantic dimensions. Aunt Olga
knows about this condition, and goes to the forest to bring him food, but she doesn't
want to say anything to anyone. Fernando will get closer to the truth. In the forest
lives a healer, Julia, who has little bottles with different concoctions. Fernando will
find the remedy and thanks to him, Uncle Wilton will regain his human form. In the
finale, Mónica, a grateful Wilton and Olga go to the “Los Diques” station to say
goodbye to Fernando. The family has recovered the uncle. Fernando begins to
recover his hair. At the bus station, the entire town greets Wilton with joy.
