Autism Spectrum Quotient (version for

Children) (AQC)
The Autism Spectrum Quotient (Children's version), in its original version, was presented in the
following publication:

■ Auyeung, B.; Baron-Cohen, S.; Wheelwright, S.; Allison, C.: The autism spectrum quotient:
Children's version (AQ-Child). Journal of autism and developmental disorders 2008;

The Spanish version used on this page has been obtained from the Autism Research Center website (
http://www.autismresearchcentre.com/tests/ ) . The text has been slightly modified to adapt it
to the international language model and correct various typos.
The Autism Spectrum Quotient quantifies autistic traits in adults, and is designed to be self-
administered. The questionnaire presented on this page adapts the Autism Spectrum Quotient for
children between 4 and 11 years old, and is designed to be answered by parents or caregivers.

How to interpret the result?

The Autism Spectrum Quotient (Children's version) score range is 0–150, with 0 being the extreme
value that would indicate absolute absence of any ASD, while the value of 150 would indicate a
convincing certainty of the opposite. The authors suggest a result of 76 points as a cut-off point, so
obtaining a total score greater than 76 would be indicative of the presence of behaviors that would
justify carrying out a diagnostic assessment by a health professional.
The questionnaire has 50 questions. Please answer them all.
