HINDSIGHT SHAWL – NJ Wool Walk 2020

by Rose Mogerman
Indy Dyer at Alma Park www.yourLYSonline.com

NJ Wool Walk 2020 is set for April 2-5 and I wanted to create something to
showcase the 2020 Wool Walk Colorway, which is also named “HINDSIGHT”.

This squishy garter stitch asymmetrical boomerang type shawl is knit without a
single purl stitch! Squishy, large and stylish, this shawl can be knit by a beginner,
but is also interesting enough for an experienced knitter.

I broke it into sections, so that it was easier to follow and included counts. If you are off
on your counts, it will not make a big difference so don’t panic! If you are starting a lace
session, you’ll want to start off with an even number or you’ll need to fudge the numbers at
the end.

Tips & Tricks
1. To avoid so many ends to weave in, carry yarn up your work when it makes sense to
do so, (3 or less rows). Since you are slipping the first stitch of each row, you’ll
need to carry your yarn up between the 1st and 2nd stitch.
2. When you cannot carry the work up, weave in ends as you go.
3. If you don’t have enough yarn, no worries, just stop knitting at any point and bind
off.
4. This would be great for a scrappy DK stash busting project.
