Written knowledge test

General information

Mr. (a) candidate for Local Mayor (sa),

For the application of the written test, we recommend that you take the
following into account:

1. The test will be carried out on the Campus of the National University of
Colombia.
2. Applicants must appear at the indicated time at the place where they
were summoned, only with their identification document, No. 2 black
lead pencil, pencil sharpener and eraser.
3. The test has a total duration of two and a half hours, starting from the
start time indicated by the room manager.
4. Half an hour after the test begins, no applicant will be allowed to enter
the classrooms, therefore, please have enough time to enter the
campus and locate the place where you must answer the test.
5. The test consists of 100 questions that evaluate knowledge, aptitudes
and abilities. The aim is to recognize the cognitive abilities of those
evaluated to understand and analyze information that is presented in
verbal records (text comprehension and verbal reasoning), numerical
records (problems that involve making a statement and performing
simple calculations, interpretation of graphs and data) and graphical
records (identification of the patterns and logic of change underlying a
transformation). Its objective is to identify personal skills and specific
knowledge for the performance of the position of Local Mayor, taking
into account the functions and responsibilities assigned by the
Constitution and the Law.

6. The test questions are multiple choice with four (4) response options.
7. Given its eliminatory nature, only applicants who obtain more than
70% correct answers will go to the next stage of the process.
8. During the administration of the written test, the use of cell phones,
electronic tablets, laptops, music players, photographic or video
cameras, headphones, calculators, texts or any other element that may
violate the security of the process is not permitted.
9. No candidate may leave the room during the first hour of the exam
and without having signed the answer sheet and the exam record with
his or her fingerprint.
10. The National University of Colombia appreciates your participation
and strict compliance with these recommendations.
