statement would be the one that, in 1941, carried
out the first airborne mission in Latin America
during the Peruvian-Ecuadorian War.
On January 28, 1919, Military Aviation was born in
Peru, initially within the Army. On December 9 of
the same year, the Navy's Hydroaviation unit was
created; It should be considered that, according to
the Political Constitution of 1920, the Armed Forces
of Peru were made up only of the Army and the
Navy. Thus, given the growing advance of world
military aviation, on May 20, 1929, the Peruvian
Aviation Corps (CAP) was created as the third armed
institute.
