Dates: 10C&10K: Period 5 – Tuesday 2 April

10T: Period 3 – Wednesday 3 April

Note: Students in 10T must arrive at 11am to start the task.

HT5-1 explains and assesses the historical forces and factors that shaped the modern world
HT5-4 explains and analyses the causes and effects of events and developments in the modern world
HT5-9 applies a range of relevant historical terms & concepts when communicating an understanding of the past
HT5-10 selects & uses appropriate written form to communicate effectively about the past

Topics to study: China and the World (Qing China) 1750-1912

Exam structure:
THREE short-answer responses (‘explain’ & ‘describe’ type questions). (15 marks)
ONE extended response. (15 marks)

The extended response question will focus on the fall of the Qing Dynasty.

Note: Any student receiving less than 60% in this assessment may be required to re-sit the
exam.
