Progress Report On The Subject of English
Progress Report On The Subject of English
2014 - 2015
Since we began working with the first and second grade groups, the
difference in abilities to be able to perform correctly in the English subject on the
part of the students was perceived. This was due to the fact that some of them had
never studied the subject formally, others due to their lack of interest in a subject
foreign to their culture and customs. On the other hand, there are students (the few
who have training in some of the skills to function in the English language, namely
writing, reading, listening, grammar and conversation.
These circumstances have led to certain measures being taken with those
students who are delayed, such as: they are considered more written work, based
on exercises, the formation of simple sentences, and that when taking the exam of
English, it is written in a simpler and more accessible way, and is presented with
multiple choice, although following the content required in the subject.
During the first two months there was a medium grade in the groups,
obtaining a low grade in those students who were delayed in the subject, because
a single exam was given to all the students, with similar reagents for all without
making differences in particular abilities. of each student.
Along with the work in class, the exercises answered in notebooks and in
the book (study and practice section, both in the same book), the copy of readings
from the books and the exercise in writing the language, have been changes have
been noticed in some of the students, these changes have been reflected today in
the exam they took in the last two months.
I recognize that there is still a lot to do, since we have to fight against
apathy, disinterest, lack of response on the part of students with their schoolwork,
and the limitations of each one of them. The best way to present the classes in
such a way that they have and arouse interest in them. These are the challenges
to overcome in the remainder of the school year. We will work on vocabulary and
continue looking for the best way for students to learn this language, which is so
necessary these days.
