TECHNICAL EDUCATION DAY SPEECH

This is celebrated every November 15, in honor of the creation of the National Council of
Technical Education (Conet) and which is currently recognized as the National Institute of
Technological Education (INET) . This body is in charge of coordinating the application of
public policies related to the development and strengthening of technical-professional education
at the secondary technical, higher technical and vocational training levels. "It is very important
for our country, for the future of our students, that, together, we continue working to continue
strengthening this modality."
The importance of the Technical School is crucial for the development of society, for young
people and even for the world linked to production and work culture.
The French thinker Gilbert Simondon maintained that “in technical reality there is a human
reality.”
And there is no doubt that we live in a world where technology sets one of the most precise
rhythms of progress and even life patterns.
In technical education there are three key words: science, technique and technology, and they
are linked to specific activities of man and closely linked to the development of his community
and even his civilization.
If the field of science can have inquiry as its inspiration, then the field of technique and
technology will be inspired by action.
One of the reasons that explain the advancement of science is the discovery of facts or laws that
explain phenomena. In this framework, technology does so through invention or innovation
with objects, products or processes.
Every day, technical education reaffirms the training of professionals to meet the needs of the
industry, in the teaching of different technological and scientific specialties. They graduate from
the technical school prepared for autonomous or dependent professional practice, with technical
capacity and critical sufficiency for their own tasks, considering the social and productive
environment in which they will operate. In these last years; technical education was not
considered as it deserved due to its importance for the economic and social development of the
country; Only since 2006 with the implementation of the new national law on technical
education, a new very important stage begins in the training of technicians, since once again the
school provides training in accordance with the demands generated by the industrial sector. and
productive from different areas of our country.
“There is a driving force more powerful than steam, electricity and atomic energy: THE
WILL” (Alberto Einstein) .
The Technical Schools prepare their students with two defined objectives: in a practical
sense, which allows graduates to practice a trade, and with the theoretical bases to continue
university studies. But, as the German scientist said, at will the objective can be lost along the
way.
