ACT I (ANGEL GABRIEL VISITS MARY)
Narrator: A long time ago, living in Nazareth, a young
woman named Mary one day received a strange but
pleasant visit.
(Mary is washing clothes when the Angel Gabriel
enters)
Angel Gabriel: May Peace be with you! God has blessed
you and been pleased with you.
María: (Surprised and scared) Who are you? I don't
understand what you mean.
Angel Gabriel: (Smiling) Mary, do not fear, because you
have found grace before God, he has been very kind to
you and has granted you the greatest of blessings.
Maria: Me?
Angel Gabriel: Yes, a child is growing in your womb who
has been conceived by the work of the Holy Spirit. He
will be the Son of God and his kingdom will never
will end.
María: I believe and trust in God. I am just a servant of
the Lord. May His will be done in me.
Angel Gabriel: Listen Mary, for God there is nothing
impossible. Your cousin Elizabeth, whom everyone

ACT III (JOSH IS VISITED IN DREAMS)
Narrator: During the 3 months that Mary was with
Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary's fiancé, learned of his fiancée's
state of grace and began to be filled with doubts, so the
same angel who revealed himself to Mary also revealed
himself. It appeared to him in a dream.
(Joseph lying down and the Angel Gabriel sitting next to
him)
Angel Gabriel: Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to
receive Mary as your wife, she is a good young woman
and has never failed you.
José: Why not? She is pregnant and she is not from me.
Angel Gabriel: Neither from you nor from any other
man. The child that Mary is expecting is the son of God,
who has been conceived by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
José: From the Holy Spirit? The son of God?
Angel Gabriel: Yes, the son of God! And even so, you
must raise him, care for him and love him as if he were
your own son, because he will save your people from
their sins.

ACT IV (MARY AND JOSEPH LOOK FOR POSADA)
Narrator: A few days before Jesus was born, Joseph and
Mary had to make a long trip from Nazareth to
Bethlehem in Judea, Joseph's hometown, since the
Roman emperor Caesar Augustus had ordered a census
to be taken to make sure everyone was
paying taxes, so each family had to travel to the city of
origin of the head of the family.
(Joseph walking, pulling the donkey on which Mary is
riding)
Soldier : By edict of Emperor Caesar Augustus I order
that every person Jan has to go to his place of origin for
the census.
José: María, are you very tired?

road to Bethlehem is very long.

place to rest.

Innkeeper: I'm sorry, I don't even have a bed left,
because of the census the city is full of travelers looking
for a place to sleep.
José: But my wife is too tired; and his son is about to be
born.
Innkeeper: Sorry, the inn is full, but if you want you can
sleep in the stable. That's all I can offer you.
José: Thank you, good man! That will be fine.
Innkeeper: (Surprised) How? Sir, I was kidding, that's the
animal barn.
José: It doesn't matter sir, what we need is a place to
rest and protect ourselves from the cold.
Innkeeper: Well, if you insist, come forward, it's at the
back. It's not much, but the ox will keep you warm.
(Joseph, Mary and the Innkeeper go to the stable)
José: Thank you sir, how much do I owe you?
Innkeeper: Nothing, sir. How do you think of it? I can't
charge you anything, come forward. (To María) Here,
my lady, take this lamp and this blanket to cover you
from the cold.
María: Thank you sir, you are very kind, God bless you
and reward you for your help.
(The innkeeper leaves and the little donkey lies down
next to the ox)
José: Lie down, Maria. Are you cold?
María: A little bit, José.
José: I'll cover you with the blanket.
(The light goes out)
ACT V (SHEPHERDS RECEIVE THE GOOD NEWS)
Narrator: That night Joseph and Mary saw the promise
of the Savior's advent fulfilled, upon hearing the cry of
their long-awaited child in the humble manger. Near the
stable, there was a group of shepherds who, under the
cold blanket of night, chatted and sang while they
watched and took care of their flocks.

Juan: How quiet the night is!
Samuel: Yes, there is something in the environment that
gives a feeling of peace.
Leticia: Look! That star shines brighter than any other!
Juan and Samuel: It's true!
Leticia: That star must mean something.
Juan: You're right, but what?
Samuel: I feel like something will happen soon that will
change things forever.
Leticia: Mmm... I remember our father was commenting
something about a prophecy.
Leticia: Hey Samuel, what do you know about the
prophecy of the redeemer?
Samuel: Well, what my grandparents told me is that a
Messiah will come who will be the hope of the people of
Israel.
John: Could he be the king who will expel Rome from
Israel?
Samuel: Well, just so you know, John, the prophet
Malachi said: “And your Bethlehem, you are not the
least of the cities of Judea, since from you will come the
one who will govern my people.”
Juan: In Bethlehem? In our city? I don't believe it.
Leticia: When do you think the Messiah will arrive?
Samuel: Hopefully it will be soon, since Herod and the
Romans treat us worse and worse.
Juan: It's true, we need someone to remember the poor
and dispossessed like us.
Samuel: Let's enjoy that wonderful star that the night
has given us.
Leticia: Something is happening, the star is shining
brighter than ever and has illuminated that abandoned
stable that is near here!
Samuel: Look... Look... something is coming!
Juan: It looks like something that flies!
Leticia: Could it be an angel?
Samuel: He's an angel!
Leticia: Oh, how beautiful it is, everything full of light!
(The entire stage lights up and the shepherds try to run)
Angel Gabriel: Glory to God in the highest and peace on
earth to men of good will. Do not fear, do not flee. I
have good news for you that will bring joy to the entire
town.
Juan: What is that good news?
Angel Gabriel: That the Savior of the World has been
born. The king of Kings. The son of God.
Angel Gabriel: Follow that big and bright star, and there
you will find the Child wrapped in swaddling clothes and
resting in a manger in the company of his parents, an ox
and a small donkey.
Samuel: Let's go look for him, and let's go and worship
the Child God who has already been born.
(The shepherds walk following the light and arrive at
the stable where an Angel is)
Leticia: Here it is... here it is... let's go in!
(The shepherds enter and approach where the child is
lying)
(Mary and Joseph are at his side)
Juan: The baby is lying in a manger, just as the Angel
said.
Leticia: How beautiful it is!
(All the shepherds kneel to worship the child)
Leticia: We have to give the Good News to everyone.
Everyone should know that God sent his Son to be our
Savior.
ACT VI (THREE KINGS OF THE EAST FOLLOW A STAR)
Narrator: The shepherds returned to their flocks,
praising God for sending his son to save his people.
Later, three wise men from the East saw the bright star.
1 Wizard King: Look, that bright star in the sky!

2 Wizard King: We already know what that means.
3 Wizard King: Yes, ancient prophecies comment that
when the child King is born, a bright star will appear in
the sky.
1 Wizard King: Let's follow her!
2 Wizard King: Yes, we have to find the new King, the
star will guide our path.
Narrator: The three Wise Men followed the star to the
country of Judea and when they arrived at the capital,
Jerusalem, they began to ask the people. But when
Herod, the king of Judea, heard this, he sent
to look for the three wise men to talk to them.
Three Wise Men: Where is the child who was born to be
the King of the Jews? We have come from the far east to
worship him.
Herod: (Thinking) I can't let someone else take my
place. I am the only king of this land! I have to do
something! Soldier!
Soldier: Yes, your majesty.
Herod: Bring before me those three Wise Men who ask
about the new King. Tell them I need to talk to them.
Three Wise Men: (To Joseph and Mary) Good night, we
come from far away and we have brought gifts for our
King.
José: Come forward.
3 Wizard King: I brought him the myrrh that should be
anointed on the chosen men, since this child will be a
great man among men.
1 Wizard King: I have brought you the incense that is
offered to God, since Jesus is the son of God made man.
2 Wizard King: And I brought him the gold that is given
to kings, because your son has come from God, as king
of the world, to bring justice and peace to all peoples.
Narrator: That night when the Three Wise Men were
sleeping, an angel appeared to them in their dreams.
Angel: God sent me to warn you not to return to Herod,
since his true plan is to end the life of the Child Jesus.
Take another way back that takes you away from Herod.
Narrator: The next day, when I woke up,………….. They
returned to their countries in the East following a
different path. When the Three Wise Men left, Herod
was furious because they had not returned to inform
him of the whereabouts of the Child God and his plan
had failed.

Narrator: The soldiers presented the Three Wise Men

before Herod.

Herod: Welcome to my palace, nice to meet you. I heard End

him too.

Three Wise Men: Yes, we will inform you as soon as we

Narrator: The Three Wise Men followed the star

towards Bethlehem, and when it stopped they
discovered that it was directly illuminating a small
stable. When they entered they found Jesus in the arms
of
Maria.
