Scaffold. - Removable frame made up of metal boards or plates and tubes that is provisionally
raised to climb to high places and be able to work on its construction.
Harness. - Safety element that has adjustable nylon or polyester straps or tapes on the shoulders
and legs, which distribute the user's weight across the chest and hips and have rings or rings
connected to a safety line.
Conical bars. - They are steel bars specially designed for rock drilling work.

PROCEDURE
Drill. - Drilling accessory whose components are made of steel, with a tungsten carbide
complement, this can be of different types (cross, with buttons, etc.).
Full-body waterproof rain jacket: Comfortable suit that protects personnel in the field from the
rain.
Cement. - Construction material composed of a powder substance that, mixed with water or
another substance, forms a soft paste that hardens in contact with water or air.
Grout . - Mixture of water and cement, used to adhere the bolts to the soil or rock inside the drilling.
Mortar. - It is a premix composed of hydraulic binders, fine aggregate and/or additives that, in
aqueous suspension, is ideal for pumping, its applications are such as contact injection, filler
injection and ground stabilization.
Work Platform: Horizontal surface where the personnel is located in order to carry out the work,
they are made of steel, aluminum or wood. When they incorporate access ladders, both for the
ladder and for the gate (hatch), they incorporate a closure or insurance to prevent accidental
opening.
Drilling . - Action of making holes (holes) in a rock face, to drill, jackleg drilling machines, track
drills and hydraulic drills on skids are used.
helical bar
Geologist engineer:
- It will carry out the geological - geotechnical evaluation of the terrain, to define the type of
rock and the type of temporary and definitive support to be installed.
- It will carry out geomechanical mapping by advance shot.
- Anticipate the ground conditions during the excavation process, such as landslides and/or
soil or rock falls. Will give appropriate recommendations to avoid damage to personnel and
equipment.
- It must guarantee the location and orientation of the anchor bolts, with respect to the
orientation of the fractures with the objective of sewing the rock wedges that exist.
- Establish the implementation of tunnel monitoring, through the installation of convergence
stations in critical sectors, if necessary.
Shift engineer:
- You will be responsible for compliance and monitoring of the activities and processes
planned with the Engineer. Resident and the Client representative and/or Supervisor on duty.
Quality engineer:
- Actively participate in the development of quality compliance of the work and control its
compliance. Review and sign the protocols.
- Have quality testing protocols in the field, such as pull testing.
Surveyor:
- Directly responsible for the execution of the topographic process and in charge of carrying
out the field protocols for the location of the systematic bolt mesh.
Security Engineer:
- Support the Construction Supervisor in the application and compliance of this procedure.
- Verify compliance with safety standards for personnel, vehicles and equipment involved in
the operation.
- Audit at different stages the application and compliance of this procedure.
Foreman:
- Coordinate and accompany, at the place of execution of the work, all the points discussed in
this procedure, acting with safety and quality in the designated activities. Disseminate the
procedure according to the activity.
- Comply with the provisions established in this procedure, following the orders of the field
engineer and foreman.
- You must communicate to the field engineer or foreman any risk situation that prevents your
performance in the entrusted activities.
- Mandatory use of all their PPE, necessary for each activity they must carry out.
- Verify the physical condition and operation of machines, tools, as well as support elements
before carrying out work, check list of equipment.
- Immediately inform the line of command when substandard conditions are detected in:
machines, tools, support equipment and deviations in the construction process, which can
cause accidents.
- You must have self-control and the necessary concentration when executing the tasks
within your competence, particularly criticism, at all times.
- You must know and understand the procedure of the task to be carried out, and in this way
avoid accidents and incidents.
- You must know and use the PPE that is necessary for the development of this task.
- They are responsible for safeguarding their physical integrity and that of their colleagues.
6. DEVELOPMENT/PROCEDURE
6.1 Document Review:
• Activity risk matrix (IPERC).
• Dissemination of approved procedure and IPERC.
• Approved plans for construction.
• 5-minute talk training format (filled out in the work area).
• Preparation of the ATS (safe work analysis).
6.2 Previous activities:
• Release of the SSOMA area from monitoring gas and ventilation
appropriate, based on tunneling standards.
• The geology notebook should be reviewed to consideration of the
recommendations from said area, both from the contractor and theSupervision.
• The daily chat, ATS and inspection forms will be filled out before start the
anchor bolt installation activity.
• Check lighting against tunneling standards.
• A prior inspection of the work area will be carried out, identifying the correctly marked
entrances and exits.
• Within the work area there will be a water dispenser and a shaded place.
• The good condition of the power equipment and manual tools to be used will be verified.
6.3.2 Drilling
• Determine the accessibility to the drilling area, the availability of water and air for the
operation, jackleg machines and other accessories.
• Loosen loose rocks from the area, and apply preventive support with shotcrete if warranted
depending on the type of rock.
• Once the location of the point and the inclination of the drill have been verified, the drilling is
carried out. Compressed air will also be used for drilling. At this point only authorized
personnel will be able to operate the equipment and all hose connections that have coupling
claws and clamping chains will be inspected.
• The driller will have his assistant to change bars and in case of possible blockages in the
hole.
expel possible air bubbles into the drill, ensuring that they reach the bottom of the drilling.
• Once the injection of the bolt with grout is completed, the plates and securing nuts are
installed manually.
6.4 Signaling
The area where the drilling and installation of anchor bolts is carried out must be delimited to
prevent the entry of unauthorized personnel.
6.5 Identification and Coordination
The existing hazards and the type of terrain, etc. will be identified and inspected together with the
field engineer, foreman.
Ensure that all personnel fully understand the task assigned to them, making them repeat, if
necessary, the instructions received. And give the "5 Minute Safety and Environment Talk",
identifying potential risks from a safety point of view.
The personnel who will carry out the task must know and understand the procedure, the
capable person must identify the dangers and evaluate the risks, and fill out their ATS, inspect
their harness, tools and equipment, fill out their checklist and have the MSDS sheets for the
resins. to use.
Know the emergency communication line in case an accident occurs, and know how to stay
calm.
