Subject: Vadanappilly Grama Panchayath – Regarding granting permission for construction

of Bus-bay adjacent to NH 17 - Reg.

Ref: 1. Mail received from PD, PIU, NHAI, COCHIN on dated 24.06.2024.
2. Vadanappilly Grama Panchayath letter no.SC2/140/2024 on dated 12.06.2024.

Dear Sir,

This is in continuation of ref. (1) cited on above, were the PD, PIU, NHAI, Cochin has received a
public grievance from Vadanappilly Grama Panchayath Office states that, at Vadanappilly
Grama Panchayath, about sixty meters north of vadanappilly centre, on the left side of the
National Highway, the Grama panchayath has planned to construct a Bus-bay for public use,
twenty meter long six meters west of the tar surface. The approval of the Thrissur District
Planning Committee is also availed for said project. Since, the said construction site is under
the National Highway division, permission from your office is required. Therefore, it is humbly
requested that steps to be taken to grant the said permission at the earliest.

Therefore, it is requested to take needful action and submit report to this office.

IE suggests that representatives from Concessionaire to participate in this inspection to ensure

the comprehensive understanding of the facts and request to submit the inspection report at
your earliest convenience.
