RUFFIER TEST TO MEASURE AEROBIC RESISTANCE

A simple and quick way to calculate heart recovery capacity and aerobic endurance is the Ruffier test, which
gives an idea of your physical fitness. The most accurate way to do this is with a pulse meter, although you can
get an idea by taking the pulses in the carotid artery (next to the apple) or in the radial artery (in the wrist, at the
base of the thumb), but There is a certain error due to the time it takes to count them.
1. Take your heart rate at rest, sitting in a chair, and write it down (FC1).
2. Do at least 30 deep leg bends (squats), so that the thighs are just below the horizontal, in a time of 45
seconds and take the pulses as soon as you finish (FC2). If you finish the squats before 45 seconds,
continue doing them until the time is complete.
3. Take pulses again just one minute after finishing (FC3)

Apply the formula: Rating: (FC1+FC2+FC3)-200/10

ASSESSMENT INTERPRETATION
