Dear Student, while you are going to work on your academic project, it is imperative for you to
go through the following guidelines pertaining to evaluation of your project submission.

Guidelines for a proper submission

1) The submission should be done on or before the deadline.

2) All files uploaded in the submission should follow the prescribed format mentioned below

NOTE: BUSINESS REPORT IS CONSIDERED FOR GRADING. JUPYTER NOTEBOOK IS NECCESARY FOR EVALUATOR’s
REFERENCE (BOTH ARE MUST TO SUBMIT).

What is considered an incomplete submission?

1. If only a business report is submitted without any jupyter notebook for reference, it will be considered as an
incomplete submission. You will be graded zero for that.
2. If only a jupyter notebook is submitted without any business report, it will be considered as an incomplete
submission. You will be graded zero for that.
3. If a jupyter notebook is converted into a pdf or word doc and submitted as a business report, it will be
considered as an incomplete submission. You will be graded zero for that.
4. If any file/link in the submission is not in the prescribed format as per instructions and/or is corrupt, it will be
considered incomplete and graded zero.

How to make a proper Business Report?
1) Business report should be in the format mentioned in the instructions.

2) Business report should follow all, but not limited to criteria mentioned in the Business report checklist*
below.

3) Business Report should be focused on process and insights. There should be absolutely no code in the report.

4) The Business report should be appealing, simple to read, and have legible text in all tables, charts, and figures.

4.1) Annotate your diagram/charts with labels and legends. Make them clearly visible (use bigger fonts and
darker colour).
4.2) Structure your report. Use sections and subsections for better readability.
4.3) Reframe your jargons appropriately. Elaborate it for the sake of understanding.

5) Study the data well before you dive into the analysis. Provide a description of the data – context and variables.

5.1) wherever possible, add remarks about the wider context of the project, the problem that has been
identified, affected stakeholders within the problem and constraints about the approach you are going to take.
5.2) wherever possible, provide an explanation about the important and unusual variables present in your data.

6) Provide rationale/logic behind your choice of algorithms and data processing/modeling steps. Insights from EDA must

7) Mention the source of every picture/text taken from the internet.

8) Back your claims, statements and conclusions with numerical or visual data summary. Refrain from making
statements without evidence/facts/data. Critically evaluate your results in the context of your problem statement.

9) Proof-read your work and correct your errors before making the final submission. Penalty will be associated with
incorrect English, labelling, structural inconsistencies etc.

10) Grades for quality of business report are at sole discretion of the moderator.

2. List of Content or Index.
3. List of Figures (if any).
4. List of Equations (if any).
5. List of Tables (if any).
6. About Data and Its Dictionary.

7. Questions as per Rubric (Sequence must be same as rubric provided).
8. Answers under each question.
9. Please refrain from providing the entire code working in the report. However, you can add only the output from the
code with proper formatting and readable format.
10. All outputs of the code should be within the report with proper formatting and in readable format.
11. The plots must have readable ‘Labels & Titles’.
12. The figure number caption must come at the bottom and center of the figure.

EXTENSION POLICY
The DSBA Online program allows three, one-week extensions to the learners for medical issues, and work commitments.

How to avail an extension?

To avail one of the three official extensions, you need to follow the below steps:

1) Contact your Program Manager, and request an extension at least 24 hours prior to the submission deadline.

2) Fill out the extension form shared by your Program Manager, acknowledging use of an official extension.

3) If all three extensions are exhausted, no further consideration will be granted.

4) Evaluations will be done only on the submissions made by you on the portal, any file submitted to program manager

PLAGIARISM POLICY

1) Use of content from a fellow student, alum, or any online source is considered as plagiarism.
2) The practice of sharing your own files for reference is prohibited, and will be considered as plagiarism.
3) All students involved, will be graded zero for their project.
4) If any student is found defaulting on multiple occasions, further action will be taken.

RE-EVALUATION POLICY

Re-evaluation refers to the complete re-grading of the original submission due to an error in the original evaluation.
The final decision to proceed with re-evaluation is at the discretion of Great Learning Evaluation/Acad Team.

Cases for re-evaluation and the step to be taken:

1) There is a calculation error or discrepancy between rubric and the total marks. – Contact Program Manager
2) A particular question / rubric criterion is left ungraded or missed out. – Contact Program Manager
3) The grading is unsatisfactory and there is an objective query,
disputing the moderator’s feedback on the deduction. – Raise Re-evaluation Support Ticket*

* RASING A RE-EVALUATION SUPPORT TICKET

The following points need to be adhered while raising a re-evaluation support request:

1) The exact question/criteria/query, in which grading is incorrect should be mentioned along with detailed
reasoning/proof, disputing the moderator’s feedback on deduction. Without any objective/concrete point of concern,
the support team will not be able to help you get your doubts addressed.

2) The support request should be limited to your query. Any harsh language, unprofessional comments and
misbehavior towards the moderator or program team, will not be tolerated. Support tickets found to be in violation
will not be entertained and considered closed.

3) If there is more than one query in the same project, they need to be raised in the same support request. Raising
multiple request for the same project will result in closure of ticket(s).

4) The re-evaluation request ticket needs to be raised within 5 days from the release of scores.

5) On creation of a valid re-evaluation ticket, a new moderator will be assigned to the submission.

6) If the moderator has responded on the support ticket without an increase in the marks, no further rebuttal (on the
same query) will be entertained.

7) Learners are requested to take any feedback given by the moderator constructively, and accept the final grades and
feedback.

Terms for re-evaluation:

1) The re-evaluation will be done by a different moderator, and can either lead to an increase or decrease in final
marks after re-grading.
2) Once the project is re-evaluated, there is no further scope for re-grading.

The final grade is at complete discretion of the moderator.
