PRESENTATION
This document was prepared in a technical working group made up of representatives of the Ministry of Popular Power for
Education (MPPE) - National Institute of Educational Training (INCES), Dr. Gilberto Rodríguez Ochoa Children's
Cardiological Hospital, the objective was to redesign the curricula for the training of the Pharmacy Specialty Assistant,
based on the needs and demands of the National Public Health System framed in the policies of the State.
The training entities to implement this program must adhere to this curricular design, by virtue of resuming Non-Formal
Education due to the immediate need for the gaps that exist in Health Centers, regarding this level of training in this
discipline. of the health area.

INTRODUCTION
Today's Pharmacy Assistant must be trained to assume the new educational scientific advances within the New State Policies that
emerge towards the National Public Health System, trained and formed under a broad vision and mission with a high level of
sensitivity, performance integral within pharmacy establishments and/or services demonstrating their knowledge, skills and abilities
in the performance of their duties. Hence the need to train better individuals in the areas of health, in order to adequately care for
this population group of unique characterization, whose growth and development in optimal physical, intellectual and social
conditions, are essential facts to be able to achieve the “ Comprehensive Development of the New Socialist Venezuela of the
21st Century” .
For the development of the course, eleven (11) programmatic units were established that include: Spreadsheet Management,
Basic Principles of Pharmacy, Basic Mathematics and Metrology, Chemistry Applied to Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Operations and
Preparations, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Medications , Management of Recipes, Storage and Internships.

JUSTIFICATION
This non-formal education program was developed to cover the needs in health establishments, guaranteeing a replacement
generation strengthened with extensive knowledge, skills and abilities in the labor field, with the practice of ethics, morality and
social sensitivity as its focus. to observe conduct of deep respect for the patient regardless of their social and physical condition.
This determines the need to profoundly reorganize the general structure of the educational system by virtue of resuming Non-
Formal Education , due to the immediate need for the gaps that exist in Health Centers, regarding this level of training in the
different disciplines. of the health area.

MISSION
Train individuals, through a humanistic perspective that allows them to be incorporated into the technical processes that
pharmaceutical services demand in terms of the distribution system (storage, inventory, conservation and dispatch) of
pharmaceutical products, as well as the preparation of forms. masterful and parenteral mixtures; projecting the application of
knowledge, skills and abilities in a comprehensive health context, through the National Public Health System, guaranteeing quality
assistance for the health care of the population.
VISION
Train individuals, Mention: Pharmacy Assistant, with a profile in line with the scientific and technological advances demanded by
Pharmaceutical Services, projected towards the application of knowledge, skills and abilities in a comprehensive health context, in
the search for a better quality of life, thus participating in the transformation of Health Institutions that serve as a model at the
National, Regional and Municipal Level.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Train individuals, Mention: Pharmacy Assistant with theoretical-practical knowledge about the specialty, in order to prepare official
master formulas, as well as store, inventory and dispatch pharmaceuticals following the indicated technical knowledge and
complying with the standards of the Ministry of Power Popular for Health.
