2. BRIEF HISTORICAL REVIEW

The business began 50 years ago, with Mr. Jorge García and his wife as its creator. In
1963, Mr. García, dedicated to commerce, had acquired the premises where the chicken
shop currently operates, then the idea of opening a restaurant occurred to him. Mr.
García had already seen the opening of chicken shops in the capital, this was a new and
innovative way of consuming chicken. So Mr. García found out everything he needed to
start the grilled chicken business. Mr. García had capital that he had obtained thanks to
the savings of several years, he also obtained capital as a loan with which he started the
business. Initially only 8 people worked and the premises were small. The popularity of
poultry was rapidly growing, being aimed mainly at sectors B and C. When the chicken
shop had a good clientele, one day the owner of the restaurant on the corner across the
street visited Mr. García asking him if he had no problem opening a chicken shop in his
premises; to which Mr. García told him that he had no problem. Mr. García implanted the
idea that people always know how to distinguish where there is good quality, people will
always come whether there is competition in the market or not and based on quality to
achieve this. The company had been recognized as the first chicken shop in Huacho and
then as the best chicken shop. After Mr. García died, he left the business to his 10
children who continued with the business, dividing the responsibilities. The chicken shop
became a company in 2000, establishing itself as a Limited Liability Commercial
Company, which was made up of the 10 children as active partners of the company. Mr.
Pedro Ciriaco García remains as general manager and Jorge Luis García Laurente as
administrator.
Years of hard work have allowed it to expand its menu with a variety of dishes as well as
the ease of meeting the public, making it currently one of the most recognized chicken
shops in the northern part of the country.
