Plan Area: (Arts)
Teaching Date: March 25, 2025 Quarter: III

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson This lesson aims to introduce students to the
fundamental concepts and techniques of three-
dimensional art forms, emphasizing the creative
and technical aspects of sculpting and crafting.
By understanding the historical and cultural
C. Presenting Examples/Instances of the new To illustrate the concepts of sculpture and 3-D
lesson crafts, we will explore several notable examples
across different cultures and periods. We will
also discuss traditional 3-D crafts from various
cultures, including Origami and Wood Carvings,
to show the diversity of materials and
techniques. By analyzing these examples,
students will gain a comprehensive
understanding of the possibilities within
sculpture and 3-D crafts, inspiring them to apply
similar creativity and craftsmanship in their
projects.
D. Discussing new concepts Sculpture:
and practicing new skills #1 Sculpture is a branch of the visual arts that
operates in three dimensions. It involves the
creation of artworks by shaping or combining
hard or plastic materials such as stone, metal,
glass, or wood. Some sculptures are created by
carving, others by assembling materials, and
some are cast or molded. The purpose of
sculpture can range from functional objects to
purely decorative pieces or symbolic
representations.
E. Discussing new concepts 3D Crafts:
and practicing new skills #2 3D Crafts encompass a broad range of artistic
practices that involve creating objects in three
dimensions. Unlike 2D arts such as painting or
drawing, which exist on a flat plane, 3D arts
have depth, height, and width. This category
includes sculptures, installations, ceramics, glass
art, and various types of crafts that involve
manipulating materials into three-dimensional
forms. The purpose of 3D arts can vary from
aesthetic expression to functional design.
F. Developing mastery (Leads to Formative The student will create their own necklaces or
Assessment 3) bracelets regarding their topic Sculpture and 3-D
Crafts.
G. Finding practical applications of concepts Integrating a bracelet or necklace-making
and skills in daily living activity into a lesson on "Sculptures and 3D
Crafts" provides students with hands-on
experience in three-dimensional design and
craftsmanship. This activity allows them to apply
key concepts such as spatial awareness, balance,
and material manipulation in a tangible way,
enhancing their understanding of 3D art forms.
Additionally, it fosters creativity and fine motor
skills, making the principles of sculpture more
relatable and applicable to everyday life.
H. Making Generalizations and abstractions What is their inspiration in doing their artwork?
about the lesson What is their favorite part in doing the activity?
Did they find the activity easy and enjoyable or
not?
