STANDARD: Identifies conditions of change and balance in living beings and ecosystems.
DBA 4: Understand some of the basic functions of the cell (energy production and cell division)
based on the analysis of its structure.

CLASS #2
1 FOCUS: (exploration, hypothesis, contrast) The class begins by welcoming them and reminding
them to review their homework from the previous class.
2. STRUCTURATION: (development of activity) it is explained in class how the mitochondria
inside the cell is the engine that converts food into energy, and the difference between autotrophic
and heterotrophic nutrition will also be explained.
TRANSFER ASSESSMENT: In the second hour, students will be asked to make a list of 15
autotrophic and heterotrophic organisms that they know.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES : Differentiate the functions performed by organelles and the form of
cell division.
COMPETENCE COMPONENT
Interpretative
Carry out consultation activities that Propositive
complement the explanations of the text.
DEVELOPMENT:
1 FOCUS: (Class 1) The class begins by greeting the students and reminding them that today there
will be feedback on the last evaluation.
(Class 2) The class begins by asking them how they imagine that cells multiply.
2. STRUCTURATION: (Class 1) A student is passed to the board to write down one by one the
points of the test on the transport of substances across the plasma membrane, explaining the reason
for each correct answer.
(Class 2) the two types of cell division will be explained: mitosis and meiosis.
3. TRANSFER VALUATION:
(Class 1) The students' contributions are heard about the points where they were wrong and where
they were wrong.
(Class 2) Students are asked to draw the processes of mitosis and meiosis using the biology atlas and
the teacher's explanation.

OBSERVATIONS:
It may be noted that students have difficulty with the idea of cell division, so the support of
large photographs or the use of video beam would be of great help on future occasions.
