NEEDS AND PROBLEMS

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit at the turn of 2020, it challenged the foundations of social
and economic norms around the world. One after the other, every countries-initiated lockdown
protocols and social distancing procedures for public safety that shifted daily routines to
telecommunicating, online education, video calls and digital banking which requires good internet
connection.

One of the painful realities that every Filipino must face is the slow internet connection in the
country. Even if you have the most expensive data plan, the chances are you’ll still be frustrated by the
sluggishness and unreliability of your connection. After all, the internet has already become an
important aspect of our lives. Its significance has been underscored during the pandemic when most
professionals and students are taking classes online.
