LAB#11

TITLE: Analysis of Product Supply Chain System.

1. Objective:To create an Arena Model using Search, Pickup and Dropoff modules.
2. Hardware / Software Required: Arena Simulation Software.
3. Diagram:
Develop the pickup, drop off, and search modules for each player in the supply chain. The
pickup module should specify how products are collected from suppliers and
manufacturers, the drop off module should outline how products are delivered to
customers, and the search module should define how products are located within the arena.

5. Observation:

 The supply chain arena is a large distribution center with designated areas for receiving,
storing, and loading products onto trucks.
 The players in the supply chain include suppliers, who deliver raw materials and
components to the distribution center; manufacturers, who produce finished products
using the materials and components; and customers, who place orders for the finished
products.
 The pickup module includes processes for receiving and inspecting incoming materials
and components, as well as for consolidating and staging orders for production.
 The drop off module includes processes for packing and labeling finished products for
shipment, as well as for loading the products onto trucks for delivery to customers.
 The search module includes a system for tracking the location and status of products
within the distribution center, as well as for identifying and resolving any issues that may
arise during the supply chain process.
 The supply chain system appears to be operating efficiently, with minimal delays or
errors in the pickup, drop off, and search processes. Trucks are loaded quickly and
accurately, with the correct products and quantities being loaded onto each vehicle.
 Overall, the supply chain arena model with pickup, drop off, and search modules appears
to be a well-organized and effective system for managing the flow of products through
the supply chain and onto trucks for delivery to customers.

6. Result & Discussion:

Result:
 The supply chain arena model with pickup, drop off, and search modules was able to
effectively manage the flow of products through the supply chain, from suppliers to
manufacturers to customers.
 The pickup and drop off modules were successful in efficiently receiving, storing, and
loading products onto trucks for delivery to customers.
 The search module was effective in tracking the location and status of products within the
distribution center, enabling the supply chain team to quickly locate and resolve any
issues that arose.
Discussion:
 The use of the arena model, with its clearly defined boundaries and modules for pickup,
drop off, and search, helped to streamline and optimize the supply chain process.
 The integration of software and hardware systems to support the pickup, drop off, and
search modules proved to be particularly beneficial, as it allowed for real-time tracking
and management of products within the arena.
 While the supply chain system was successful in meeting the needs of the business and
its customers, there is always room for improvement. For example, the team could
consider implementing additional automation or using data analytics to identify and
address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain process.

8. Conclusion:
The Model is simulating the complete scenario of a supply chain. The truck load is first
created from an entity. The 10 trucks are also created at the same time. Then the truck is
sent to the supplier entity using route module. The truck is then filled with the load
created and the entity picture is changed. The trucks pickup the load using the Pickup
module. The trucks are then route to the customers where the load on the trucks is
dropped off using the drop off module. The entity pictures are then changed to red balls
indicating an empty truck. The trucks then search for a new supplier using the search
module and is then route to the supplier. The whole scenario is then repeated until all the
truckloads are not processed.
