PAKISTANI MUSIC
The music of Pakistani developed through influence received from various parts of
South Asia as well as Central Asia, Persian, Turkish, Arabic, and some Western popular
music influences.
Pakistan’s classical music has two main principles, sur and lai. The raag is the
systematic organization of musical notes into a scale and the Taas is the cycle of rhythms.
Improvisation is also a distinct feature of Pakistan music.

TWO TYPE OF COAL SINGING STYLES IN PAKISTAN


1. Ghazal – it is a traditional expression of love, loneliness, and separation. It follow strict
structural poetic forms and is considered as the main poetic forms in Persian civilization.
Ghazal may be performed both by men and women.

2. Qawwali – it is the devotional music if Chishti Sufis. It is originally performed at Sufi


shrines all over Pakistan.

Punjabi Music is a region in nethermost parts of the Indian subcontinent or South Asia
which is separated into West Punjab and East Punjab. Punjab music has varied musical
styles from folk to Sufi to classical, also known as Patiala gharana

PAKISTAN MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS


1. Rubab – This is a short necked plucked lite originated in Afghanistan and west Pakistan.
This has a membrane covering the hollow bowl of sound chamber, on which the bridge is
placed.
2 Dafli – This is also known as daf, daffler, or tambouring. This is a wooden ring instrument
with double rows of bells.
3. Table 0 This is a two-drum instrument originated in India, this is considered as the most
important accompaniment in classical music.
4. Dholak – This is a two-headed hand drum from South Asia. This is a pitched instrument
used during weddings.

ISRAEL MUSIC
Israeli music is a mixture of Jewish and non-Jewish music traditions with significant
influences from nearby countries like West Asia and Russia. On the other hand, the Israeli
musicians shared significant contributions to classical, jazz, and pop rock genres. Many
compositions of Israeli classical composers have been performed by famous orchestras
globally.

The diversity of Israeli music has developed an amount of canonical songs known as Shirei
Eretz Yisrael or “Songs of the Land of Israel.” Thses songs have definite musical
characteristics composed from 1920 to the mid-1970.

Jewish Orchestra
The first Jewish orchestra was formed by the settlers in 1895. This orchestra is
located in the town of Rishion Le Zion. The members used wind instruments playing light
classics and marches.

Traditional Instruments
1. Kinnor – This is an ancient Israelite harp instrument. This is known as the “national
instrument” of the Jewish people.
2. Shofar – This is a horn instrument used for Jewish religious purposes. This does not
have any fingering keys. This is a bugle-type instrument. To produce melodies from this
instrument. The pitch must be controlled though the releasing of air by the player’s
embouchure.
3. Timbrel or Timbret – This is a tambourine-like instrument. This is the principal
instrument of the percussion section of the Israelites.
4. Darbul – This is a single-head goblet-shaped membranophone used mainly in West
Asia, South Asia, North America, and Eastern Europe.

Woodblock printmaking in Japan is different from the Western form because it
uses water-based ink instead of oil-based ink. In the Japanese tradition, the brush
dipped in water-based ink and pressed firmly onto an absorbent Japanese Paper.

What are Japanese theater masks and face painting?


Japanese masks are used by actors for theater and dance performances. Each
mask in one performance differs in style depending on the character in a play.

What are anime and mange?


Manga are very popular comic book in Japan. It is a common sight to see
Japanese adults and children reading mange on trains and buses. Manga publication
is aimed at children which is why it is characterized by simplistic writing style and
lovable characters. Just like anime, many of the characters are portrayed as kawaii.
Anime can either be the hand-drawn or computer-generated animation. It is

1. The vertical wall scroll which is put on display for special occasion and afterward
rolled up and stored in wooden box

What is Japanese painting?

Musical instruments – Some of the Japanese traditional musical instrument which

What are causes of teenage pregnancy?
1. Premarital Pregnancy – With the increasing number of teenagers in premarital sex, too
early and unwanted pregnancy follows inevitably. Pregnancy and childbirth out of
wedlock are still unacceptable to many in the society, especially with regard to religion
and Filipino tradition.
2. Impulsive decision making – Generally, teenagers are very idealistic and romantic.
Physical attraction may be so intense that they think what they feel is true love, though it
is mere infatuation.
3. Perceived Solution Problems – Many teenagers marry because they believe marriage is
the way to escape family problems or the solution to their emotional hang-ups.

MATERNAL NUTRITION

Why is maternal nutrition important during pregnancy?


Healthy nutrition is important for pregnant women. Proper nutrition allows the
baby to grow and develop normally in the mother’s womb or uterus. It also keeps the
mother healthy.

Why is prenatal care important?


Prenatal care is very important for both the mother and baby. It is a care program
that a pregnant woman must undergo. Once the wife knows she is pregnant a visit to
doctor is a must.

Why is postnatal care important?


It is also important that the health of the mother and the baby should be monitored
after birth. It is the postnatal period. The first six weeks after birth is very critical for both
the mother and the baby. Death and disability may occur if enough care will not be given
to them.

NEWBORN SCREENING

Why is newborn screening important?


After childbirth, in the first 2 or days of life, a test for the newborn shall be done to
detect possible harmful or deadly disorders. This procedure in known as newborn
screening.

Why is APGAR scoring system important?


After the baby’s birth. A quick evaluation of the newborn’s physical condition is
done. It is the very first test of the newborn known as the APGAR score. It can tell of the
newborn needs extra medical or emergency care.

Family size affects the health of the family. As it was mention in the earlier
discussions. More members in the family would mean more needs to address. Crowding
within the household would result to poor cleanliness and hygiene. This eventually world
result to the present of a diseases or illness that may also be infecting members of the
family.

What are the effects of rapid population growth?


Rapid population growth can affect the life of an individual. Having a large number
of children in the family sometimes leads to unhealthy family especially if both parents
are unemployed. To achieve a Harmonious family relationship, the parents should plan
how many children they can support.
