efficiently.

Below is the Microsoft Word Window and its parts.

The title bar displays


the name of the software.

The menu bar displays


the different word
processing menus: File,
Insert, Page Layout,
Reference and others.

The tool bar contains
buttons with images which
serve as shortcuts to Open,
Save, Cut, Copy and Paste.

The minimize, maximize


and close buttons are used
to reduce, enlarge and close
the active window,
respectively.

The status buttons

The ruler is used as a


marker. It helps you set
alignments and the margins of
your document.
