1. Examine the role of infrastructure in determining the state of
a Nation’s development. (20 marks).

2. Myers (1999) defines development as “a positive change in

the whole of human life materially, socially and spiritually.”
Assess your country’s level of development based on this
definition. (20 marks).

3. Discuss how private sector development can be used to

formulate strategies for addressing the problems in Africa and
dealing with the challenges of Culture. (20 marks).

4. Determine how sociological concepts in Africa can affect the

continent’s development. (20 marks).

5. Elaborate on what changes will be needed in Africa to move

the continent from underdevelopment to a state of
development. (20 marks).
