Rounded dense radiopacity / foreign body of about 2.

8 cm diameter seen at left


lower (L5) para-spinal level, s/o coin foreign body (history of coin swallowing).

X-RAY ABDOMEN FRONTAL VIEW (1 VIEW)

CHIEF COMPLAINT: Swallowed coin.

TECHNIQUE: Erect AP view.

OBSERVATIONS:

 Rounded dense radiopacity / foreign body of about 2.4 cm diameter seen at


left upper (L2) para-spinal level (possibly within the stomach), s/o coin
foreign body (history of coin swallowing).
 No significant air-fluid levels seen.
 No free gas under either domes of the diaphragm.
 Normal alignment and mineral density of lumbar vertebrae noted.
 Both SI Joints shows no significant abnormality.
Advised clinopathological correlation and further investigations / Follow up X-Ray if clinically
indicated.
