PHILIPPINE ACADEMY OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS, INC

Standing Committee on BME, Residency and CPD

Residency Working Committee

CALENDAR OF ACTIVITES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025

Purpose: This academic calendar serves as a supplementary study and learning guide designed for all Family and Community Medicine
residency training programs. It aims to enrich the educational experience by providing structured learning opportunities in various facets
of family medicine.

Selection of Topics: Some topics have been curated based on the Department of Health’s 2024 Health Celebrations Calendar. These topics
are chosen to align with national health priorities and promote awareness of pertinent healthcare issues within the curriculum.

Flexibility in Topic Implementation: While the calendar suggests specific topics, programs with pre-existing schedules and activities may
have different priorities. Therefore, adherence to the suggested topics is not mandatory. However, it is strongly encouraged for programs
to incorporate learning assessments or evaluations related to the provided topics. This ensures that trainees receive a well-rounded
education in key areas of family medicine.

Collaborative Approach: The proposed activities outlined in the calendar have been developed collaboratively, involving various
stakeholders both within and outside of the academic institution. This collaborative effort ensures that the activities are relevant,
comprehensive, and enriched with diverse perspectives.
