It has been noted with great concern among learners at Samambwa Secondary School that
resources like furniture, textbooks are not enough that learners end up fighting over the few
available resources.

CALA description

The CALA has 2 parts. You are required to respond to all parts. The CALA is marked out of 25 marks.

Part A

i. Research on the causes of conflict. (5)

ii. Research on ways of resolving conflict. (5)
iii. Make a questionnaire which will be used to gather information from both teachers and
learners. (6)
iv. Show your findings on a graph, table or chart. (4)

Part B

Research on ways of preventing conflict. (5)

Assessment will be based on the following evidence:

i. Research on causes, resolving and mitigation measures of conflict

ii. Good designing of a questionnaire.
iii. Good presentation of work.
