Question: What are your health-related beliefs and practices?

As Jehovah's Witnesses we have specific health-related beliefs rooted in our interpretation of the Bible.

- One of our most well-known practices is the refusal of blood transfusions and the use of primary blood
components such as red cells, white cells, platelets, and plasma. We believe that accepting blood
violates God's commands. Despite our stance on blood transfusions, our religion accepts most other
forms of medical treatment. We actively seek healthcare and cooperate with medical professionals to
find treatments that align with our religious beliefs.

- When it comes to organ transplants, it is considered a personal choice, as long as the procedure does
not involve the use of blood.

- Vaccinations are also not opposed by our religion. We view vaccination as a personal decision, and
many members choose to be vaccinated to protect our health and the health of others.
