Statement of Purpose

I would like to continue building my research in the field of Information Quality

a field that has always fascinated me for a long time. Over the past few years,
I have prepared myself extensively to fulfill my dream of pursuing master’s
in information quality. I have developed a good knowledge of
business management and information technology area. I firmly
believe that information technology combined with effective
management constantly enables companies to create a lot of value
in the marketplace and revolutionize the world we live in. My dream is to
contribute my share to this process by learning and using information
technology-based applications to continuously improve business
efficiency, overcome technological barriers and create a lot of value for
companies. I would like to pursue Information Quality PhD program as the
next step towards realizing this dream and have laid a strong
foundation for this pursuit by completing an undergraduate
program in Commerce along with 4 years of work experience in
Information Technology & Management which motivated me to pursue
masters with 3 years of experience in information quality. (MSIQ)

My cumulative 8 years of experience in Information

Technology, Management and Data Analysis along with my academic
background in Commerce & Masters has given me the management
and technical skills. My active participation in extra-curricular activities
has enabled me to develop a well-rounded personality. I have
been an active member of various Student organizations on campus at
UALR, and of a non-profit organization involved in community benefit. I
have participated and volunteered in a lot of community service events
benefiting the local community.
I am confident that I can further enhance my knowledge in the use
of information systems for data driven decisions.

I am specifically interested in pursuing my research in Information Quality for

Deriving Value for high quality consumable data. The coursework
specified greatly correlates with the courses that I am looking to pursue as
a part of my graduate work. I assure that if given an opportunity, I
will continue meeting your expectations and turn out excellent graduate
work at your esteemed institution. I look forward to continuing my
academic journey for a challenging and rewarding environment at
University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
