The Role of an REC Rupantar Fellow in Enhancing School Education

An REC Rupantar Fellow plays a pivotal role in transforming school education by ensuring the
effective integration and execution of the Rupantar programs across their assigned schools. Acting as
the linchpin of change, the Fellow is responsible for:

Fostering Collaborations: Establishing a solid rapport with school principals to facilitate teacher
training sessions, ensuring educators are well-equipped to deliver innovative learning experiences.

Implementing Progressive Educational Strategies: Guiding teachers in the adoption of

Contemporary Based Learning (CBL), Project-Based Learning (PBL), Competency-Based Assessment
(CBA), Auroscholar, and Project Inclusion. This approach not only enriches the curriculum but also
makes learning more engaging and effective for students.

Identifying and Addressing Educational Gaps: Proactively identifying any bottlenecks or challenges
in the implementation of Rupantar programs. The Fellow communicates these findings to all
relevant stakeholders—principals, teachers, and the Rupantar team—to collaboratively find
solutions, ensuring seamless program execution.

Monitoring Student Engagement: Ensuring students actively participate in Auroscholar assessments,

which are crucial for gauging their learning progress and understanding.

Ensuring Pedagogical Preparedness: Working closely with teachers to ensure they develop
comprehensive lesson plans and assessments. This preparation is key to delivering a structured and
effective learning experience.

Bridging Communication: Serving as the essential link among the central Rupantar team, regional
offices, and schools. This role involves ensuring coherence in objectives and practices across the
board, facilitating a unified approach to educational transformation.

In essence, the REC Rupantar Fellow is instrumental in catalyzing educational reform, ensuring that
schools not only adopt innovative teaching methods but also foster an environment where every
student can thrive.
