Lesson 4 explores mensuration problems in both the 2- and 3-dimensions. Lesson 5
focuses on Trigonometry, particularly the applications of right triangles as well as
oblique triangles. Note that your third session period will be devoted to doing
practice problems.

Lesson 4. Mensuration Problems

Highlights

A. What is mensuration?

 A topic in geometry and a branch of Mathematics.

 In general, it just means "measurement". Most often used in geometric

measurements of length/size, area, and volume, especially in 3-D (conic,
spacial, volume) applications.

B. Give 5 examples of plane figures.

C. Give 5 examples of solid figures.

1. Area of a regular polygon
