THE USE OF FLUID MANAGEMENT ON PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC


RENAL DISORDER IN GILl GEDE ROOM OF PROVINCE GENERAL
HOSPITAL OF NTB

Nurse., M.Kep., Zuhratul Hajri, Nurse., M.Kep Background: Chronic Kidney Failure is a
disease that categorized as silent killer which difficult to cure, in Indonesia there were 70,000
people suspected of Chronic Renal Disorder. CRD patients often suffered of fluid overload
problems that can cause other health problems and even lead to death. Therefore, effective
and efficient fluid restriction programs are needed to prevent these complications, including
through monitoring fluid intake output using the fluid intake output chart. General objective:
to describe nursing care of the use fluid management in patients with chronic renal disorder
in the Gui Gede Room of Province General Hospital of NTB.
Method: this research was descriptive analytic with case study approach. Data were
obtained from interviews and observations. Subject of the research was 1 patient, It
began on August 2019. Results: After applying fluid management in patients with chronic
renal disorder for 6 days the problem of excess fluid volume was partially resolved. With
patient’s fluid balance criteria changing from 1,782 to 1,520=262 cc, there was no increase in
body weight, urine output was 100cc, edema on both hands and feet decreased became
grade. 1. ‘
